    Just a note that what I hear from my amp and speakers sounds different than what I record.
    The recordings sound thicker and fatter to my ears


    I like how the recording came out
    So the two profiles I uploaded may sound different than the recording

    It's a combination of two profiles
    One -25% left
    One +25% right

    I can't give all the profile specs so I will just upload both of them in a .zip file

    The guitar is a Joe Satriani 24 fret model Ibanez with Dimarzio bridge pickup
    I double tracked the main riff with the two profiles I attached
    The track is recorded direct from a sound card into my DAW

    The super clean parts are a third profile

    I ripped the Drums, Bass and Vocals from my CD and used those as the backing track parts

    Billy's vocals were super heavy on reverb and you can't remove that from the original vocals.


    I did all the guitar parts using my Kemper

    Loading | Kemper Amps


    I used Mixcraft 9 to do all the recording


    I also added some synth parts here and there

    After a few weeks of changing things, I am done messing with this.


    It's got heavy volume on guitar parts cause I like guitar!

    Another fun tune I like to play to play.

    I did another play along to my backing track to see what you guys were saying


    I figured out what I am doing

    I am locked into the drum beats doing it my way

    I like the way that sounds and also I never try and do exact clones of the tunes I play


    Just my way of doing things. :)

    Yeah, RipX does not do perfect rips on complex songs. It does really well on a 3 piece band like ZZ Top. I tried it on a tune that has way more instruments. It put stuff it did not know what to do with into Other or Piano.
    But ripping individual instruments is a very complex task.
    It's amazing it can be done at all.

    In case anyone is curious how to do this.
    I rip a song from the CD that I own into a .wav file.
    I used Windows Media Player to rip the CD tracks into a .wav file.
    You can use RipX to rip the CD tracks, but it does not seem to pull all the song title and other info like Windows media player does.
    Then in RipX, I open that .wav file and tell RipX to rip the track into stems.


    RipX creates a stem.wav file for every instrument it finds.

    I drop the stems I want to use into my DAW and record my guitar parts

    You will notice in my screen shot that it also ripped two other .wav files called piano and other.
    There was nothing on those tracks and so they were discarded.
    I did not use Billy's guitar track
    I only used the drums, bass and vocal stem tracks

  • Fixed tremolo tempo for each rig

    I get confused on how to set a tremolo tempo and lock it for each rig so it cannot be changed

    Example:
    On some rigs I always want 60 bpm tremolo tempo and 120 bpm on another rig.
    I want each rigs tempo to stay locked at a certain bpm and not be changed by the tempo foot pedal

    Can someone tell me how the rig menu settings should be set up in browser mode?
    I see Tempo enable and Lock Tempo check boxes in each rig but not sure how they should be set to do what I described above
