If I connect a cabinet to the powered Kemper, does it matter what ohm the cab has? Do I need to select that somewhere on the Kemper? And since the official Kabinet is 4 ohms, does the Kemper prefer 4 ohm cabs?
External cabinet, does ohm matter?

Powered Kemper is happy with 4 - 16ohm cabs. Just don't try 2ohm.

Thanks! And I don't need to change a setting in the Kemper for that, right? Just plug and play?

There in nothing that you have to select in the kemper when using different ohm speaker cabs.

Higher ohms than the lowest rating on the amp are always fine. As Clselby says above, there is nothing you need to do.
Avoid using speakers with an ohm rating below what the amp can handle. The amp won't blow up straight away, but once things get hot enough......:)

I have a Kicker 2x12 @ 1ohm cab in my car trunk. I "thump" the neighborhood aggressively but I can't fit groceries in there. You don't want the Kemper to "thump"
