Thanks deadman42 & BayouTexan !
Intro reminds me of a construction site where iron workers are dangleling on high-rise beams, Keys part is the elevator bringing them down to lunch. The solo is one worker going back from lunch early but then... there is an accident... and this is happening in NYC.
I guess you guys know by now I not only hear music but I see it too. Just wish I was perfect pitch.
Thanks BayouTexan !
Super-catchy and so is the lead bro'.
Wuddun mate.
Thanks Monkey_Man !
The drier drums really help give it oomph bro'.
Thanks Monkey_Man ! Not a conscious decision I’m afraid, but interesting observation.
Backup vocal chorus doing "woo oh ooh" would be great on that.
Thanks BayouTexan ! Great minds think alike! I tried it out originally but preferred without this time, It’s possible I just couldn’t get the performance right, but also with the rotary sim fattening things out in the mids so much it sounded tighter without.
Mildly Sabbath inspired today
Damn nice rock riffing' but vocals sound "live" with the vocal delay. I know that's a tuff balancing act when delays are so short.
Thanks BayouTexan ! That's intentional, it's the sound of Sabbath and early Ozzy to my ears. I think of it as a pre-punk rejection of music industry production and polish. Their early stuff sounds like band practice in a bad room way too loud, recoded with a single mic, but with songs great enough to overcome any deficiencies.
Well... next time give me a heads up on pre-punk junk.
I did! "Mildly Sabbath inspired today"

... and to be expected seeing as I've encouraged you to bring the drums forward since day dot.
I of course have always respected your preference for the opposite approach.
