Finally fulfilled a long held ambition and made an acceptable recording of this classic track.

That is really, really good...guitar, vocals...everything! Well done.
Sounds great - nice job
Clapton couldn't replicate that as well as you did. Friggin' outstanding job!
I have the AF 63 Vibrolux rigs. Care sharing exactly which one you used and its settings?

Hi, thanks for your kind words.
I used the 63-Vibrolux Full profile with the following tweaks:
Cab character to +1.2 and Cab low shift to -1.4 to clean up an old speaker and give it more of a 4x12 feel
Eq Mid to +2.7 to give a bit of warmth to the bridge pickup
I left the KPA reverb on during recording and also added some more reverb in the DAW. To my ears this sounded better than recording without reverb and adding it all in the DAW. It also helped to have the reverb on when playing. There was also some light compression on the master.
WoW!
Love it! Thanks for sharing!!
Excellent!
Am I the only one that can't play this? The link just takes me to my stream page and searching shows no sign of david-dyer.

Same here.
Great great sound and playing man, I like it very much!!
I believe that before die in peace you still have to play a lot of this stuff
For the link, also to me it didn't work correctly, only after a lot of clicks and trials I found the song, but maybe it's better to correct with a direct link.
I think SoundCloud is having some issues this morning. I changed the link to my SoundCloud home page which should be more reliable, and added an alternative YouTube link. I think YouTube is now offering higher sound quality on HD playback than SoundCloud anyway.
David, I think you have a minor error in your soundcloud link. If you would remove the hashtag ("#") from the URL everything should be working fine for all users.

nice one DJDyer , go to to learn this one myself one day.
Sounded fantastic! Great job.
Really nice track. Love the tone you are getting out of that combination. Thanks for your settings as well. I never bothered fiddling with the cabinet parameters myself but after using your settings and hearing what they do I might change that
What guitar did you play exactely? Is it an historic?
The guitar used was a Les Paul Collectors Choice #2, bridge pickup which is a burstbucker 3
