Great news, but now should I install my newly purchased UNO chip?
Of course: Yes!

Awesome update.
Is it possible to pitch bend the harmonized note with an expression pedal and keep the input note unchanged?
Whammy/ pedal pitch?
2 delays would be most welcome and have been requested several times.
To sum up what I heard today at the Messe:
Xavier, the guy who makes the UnO chip, is working on an eprom specifically for the KPA.
This eprom will enable the FCB
- for a special learn mode
- 2 way communication ( i.e. switching an FX on the KPA will reflected on the FCB)
- tuner LEDs will be visible on FCB display.
Ah it's only because of the people being all so busy in general lately...
Thanks Paul!
One hopefully NDA-safe question:
Is spending more for a used FCB with UNO chip already in it, a worse idea than buying a used stock FCB? ( notice how I'm not asking for a specific reason?
As there will be a new KPA specific eprom available I would buy a stock FCB.

I'm just back from the Messe!
Too bad for Davide and Armin that they couldn't make it.
It was nice to see Markus (marcpepper ) again and to meet Geraldo in person.
It was also very nice to meet Manfed and Don from Kemper and chatting for so long, too.
And it was great to see CK again and talk and listen (quite a while, thank you) about the KPA and what's about to come, maybe....;)
Hope to see y'all again soon!
You should use an expression pedal or volume pedal with a TRS cable.
Whammy is controlled by CC #1, same like the wah.
So if you have your wah working you're good to go. Just have an active whammy slot in the rig and no wah, otherwise you have wah and whammy simultaneously.
CK stated that in a later firmware whammy will be controlled with CC #4, and therefore will then be independent from wah.
You can also setup a boost of 3 dB in the X slot.
Otherwise a simple dB meter should give you rough information.
I have a useful app for this on my iPhone.
Does anyone know if the FCB firmware/software is to be (a) released by Kemper - (b) by Behringer or (c) by the UNO chip guys? I am a bit confused.
I know, (but I'm not allowed to say due to NDA).
The idea that Behringer should be involved with this is quite amusing...
Will download them today. I've always been keen to play a Coyote.
Thank you!
I have the UNO , When andwhere will this software for KPA be available
Which software do you mean?
I can't help specifcally with the Roland, but for the wha/whammy to work the controller must send CC #1.
You must specify this at the controller, not the KPA.
Oh, ok I got you. Can give it a try but I have some doubt the Kemper can handle pedals hooked somewhere else. I will search inside of the pedals options in the kpa........
Sorry I assumed you're connected directly.
What controller are your pedals connected to? In this case you should calibrate them from the controller. I know the Behringer FCB can do this for its pedals.
I haven't viewed the video yet, but I thought you could only use the top row as stomps if the UNO chip was fitted
No, you can also have the stomps in the bottom row if you wish.
Wait a few weeks for a special KPA- UnO chip which is going to enhance KPA functionality more (though I don't know specifics yet).
Believe me, time will be more limited once your baby is born...
So take your time!
Great setup BTW!
Before opening the pedal you cold use INITIALIZE PEDAL from the system menu.
This should solve the issue
