Hi, @readysteadyjedi. The only thing you're missing (so to speak) is the listening through headphone vs speaker. It happened to me as well when I first got my EV ZLX-12p. You should try and start with the Contour Switch as mentioned by @Booyah. After that the EQ in the Kemper is the way to go. I personally keep the main output flat for FOH and use the Monitor Output EQ to to cut the low/highs if needed. Hope this helps.

So far I've notice that RigManager crashes (MacOS Catalina)? It happened four times today. The only thing i did different from yesterday (no issues with RM) was playing along using VLC.

The level for each output can be set in the output menu with the soft knobs underneath the display. Ahhh, that makes sense now. You august the volume for FOH first, then you deactivate it and use the MASTER VOL for the on stage monitor. Thanks @Kemper Support #1 for the clarification, much appreciated

Uncheck Main Out Link.

Check Monitor Out Link.

Set the Main Volume to something like -14.6dB, that's where I run mine but you might need to adjust it to work with your PA.

Don't worry about the Monitor Volume, it will be controlled by the volume knob.

Press the SYSTEM button.

Go to page 3/11.

Set the Vol. LED Collar to Monitor Volume, this will make the LED's around the volume knob match the monitor output setting.

If you use quite a bit of bass in your tone, you may be using more than I, as I favour hot-rodded Marshall Plexi tones. Try increasing the manual level so you don't end up with almost a fundamental bass note in the lowest-wah position. Increasing the manual also extends how far up the top range you can go. Think of manual as the start-frequency range of the wah.

If you increase the peak more you will get an even more-pronounced, modern-wah effect in the higher / treble positions. Lower to reduce the effect and to go more in the direction of traditional wah sounds.

If you find it's still losing the tone and sounding thin, try reducing the pedal range below +40% to say 35% or 30%; that will bring more "guitar" to the tone

I play both my LP Deluxe and AR305 with the volume dimmed, and my AR has a unity-gain preamp onboard. This would explain why Kulle had to make the tweaks that follow. I think everyone should expect to have to tweak these a bit no matter what.

It isn't a 1:1, but it sounds convincing. The Dunlop isn't as "digitally-perfect" in the sweep as the Kemper, and the ME expression pedal (the EP1-KP) that I have has a much-wider sweep than the JC-95. The sweep is the thing I love the most on the real thing. It's pretty narrow, but it feels awesome; you're never "off" anywhere. The knob setting I use on the Dunlop is slightly off-center, towards the more high-end setting.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. One step at the time, no rush. The KPR Stage is a different beast for sure. Need to get my head around. It took quite a while to shape my sound on the Axe and wold like to to able to 'replicate' it on the KPR Stage now.

Well, glad to report that I have taken the 'next step'. Couldn't pass on a nice offer for a KPR Stage. Been noodling around with it for the last couple of days checking out primarily the onboard profiles for now. The online videos are great. Next step is to find some profiles that sound similar to the ones I'm using on my Axe.
