In 25 years of trying to find my sound I have owned more amps than I care to admit. The only amps that allowed me to get the sound I wanted were the Mesa Rectifier series and this is only with a long chain of noise gates, boost, eq's etc...not to mention all of the different cabinet, speaker, guitar, pickup and tube type/brand combinations, all which had a large impact of the final result. Let's just say there was a lot of money spent. So I bought the Kemper not to find my sound but to reproduce it. I am very please to say that the Kemper has exceeded my expectations and shown me new sounds that I didn't know were possible. Thank you. For anyone on the fence, the price is cheap relative to what it can do.
Search is over!!!

I just received mine last night and got to play for a short time and was blown away. I can't imagine what other gems I'm gonna find! Like you I have bought so much in the past 20 years and never felt satisfied, I'm confident that search is over amp tone wise. Now the GAS for the perfect guitar begins!

Absolutely, and the Kemper is a money saver in the long run because it negates the need to keep buying gear. guitars though, thats another story......

Couldn't agree more. I've been buying, trading, selling equipment for 35 years. From my first JCM 800 to my Mid 60's AC30 to my 1968 Plexi I have tried them all. Modelers from the first Line 6 AX212 to the new HD500X to the Boss GT-100. I have never found the "perfect tone". Now I have. My Kemper powered rack run through a passive JBL PRX400. Wow.......

Welcome to the new guys (I'm new, too). And reading some of these posts makes me feel vindicated and reassured in choosing the Kemper. I bought mine from Musiciansfriend.com, where there's a 45-day return policy, so I was prepared to try it out for a few weeks, and if it didn't blow me away I could return it. So far, I can't imagine what could possibly be better. The librarian/rig management app would make this so perfect, but that's hopefully coming soon. Nice to see reassuring comments from people on here, though, that are way more experienced than me.
