Hey guys and/or gals! I finally got my Kemper rack in yesterday. I haven't touched a guitar in a year and a half. I sold everything to start investing in rental properties. So I finally decided to start acquiring some gear again. I've had all the axe fx's before and decided to try something new. VERY glad I did! I plugged in my 6 and found some of Keith morrows profiles and was immediately blown away! So then I decided to download Lasse Lamerts pack and was even more floored! I didn't have to spend days/weeks trying to find the tone I was looking for, unlike some other processors that I've had. I can honestly say that within one day of having this, it isn't going anywhere! Now on the search for a clean tone for a metal guitar with high output pups. Shouldn't be too hard to find though! Btw I'm running it through Yamaha hs5's and a focusrite 18i20 interface through the main outputs. Wanted to do spdif but got lost on how to do it and was dying to know what it sounded like. Lol

Like Lasse's Metal Pack his clean Slo 100 profile on the rig exchange is very good.

Hello and welcome

Hi and welcome!

welcome!
a quick way to get modern clean tones is to simply turn the gain all the way down from a metal rhythm rig.
the same principles apply: nice bass, brilliant top end and scooped mids.
the definition parameter can also help to make the cleans shine (settings in the 5-10 range), and the Amp slot's compressor (not the stomp) can smooth them out a bit, if needed.have fun!

Hi welcome to the gang

Welcome !
Same story for me before I had the KPA, I barely played my guitars , unsatisfied by digital gear and no possibility to crank my tube amps to get a good tone ... Once I got my KPA , I get back to playing ( not tweaking ) 1 to 3 hours / day and recording like a mad ( like 20 tracks in a year ) now my guitar serves me as a mandatory therapy /hobby each and everyday ...
Try a little bit harder with the SPDIF if you want to record , it's really smooth , dead silent & as dynamic as your best tube amp.

Wow! That worked great Don! Thanks! And thanks for all the friendly welcomes! I will try the spdif later. I just got lost on what to set the kemper to in its settings.

I'm glad to hear it!
I will try the spdif later. I just got lost on what to set the kemper to in its settings.
in the output menu (click the 'Output' button), on page 1, just make sure that the SPDIF output is set to 'Master Stereo'then set your soundcard to 44.1kHz sampling rate and sync to SPDIF
that's it.

So I got the spdif to work but now I can't figure out how to record with it. Theres no input signal coming in on my interface. Its a focus rite 18i20.
