Although it sounds like a great idea, I say no....Unless it's implemented better than every desktop, laptop and ipad device I've ever had.

Perhaps there's not enough RAM currently, but it should be possible for all Linux OS.

I've experienced performance problems etc with hibernate/sleep functions on several pc's and never use it and I know many others that turn off those functions. Who knows if it can be implemented bug free on the kpa. Maybe they can optimize the programing for the startup still a bit further. It's not an issue for me though.
I'm not sure what situation would call for this, in a live situation, this is the LAST thing you want to happen. In the studio, is the 30 second wait ever that much of an issue?

I'd rather see them spend their efforts on shortening the time it takes for the initial boot-up...
Rather than being aimed at saving seconds when you boot, I'd like the idea of finding my working session as I left it if I want, and of having the possibility to stop it from wasting current if I have to leave for a length of time I can't predict.

And whenever I wake it up I find my editor, my browser and all my apps at the exact point I suspended my work. That's a great thing IMO.

I'm not really seeing the value of this, personally.
When I play out, I plug in and turn on the Kemper first, and hook up my other gear while it's booting. I leave the Kemper on all the time (I use Tuner mode like an amp's standby), and shut it off when I'm finished. Same as I would with a tube amp (which also take some time to warm up).
Faster boot time would be nice, of course, but someone will have to explain the use case for a "sleep mode".
Most devices that support sleep/hibernate/suspend features have processors and motherboards that have hardware support for this. There's nasty stuff that needs to happen in hardware to make this happen.
Im mildly bothered about the long bootup as well. I want to get to those heavenly tones as fast as friggin possible when I turn the green monster on :).
Not sure it's possible with the current silicon on the Kemper. This is an awesome idea though.
I just refuse to shut my toaster down unless i know i won't get near it for some time.
Not a fan of digital devices that have sleep or hibernate modes...
I'm all ears as to why this is needed or would be a "good" idea... I was never bothered by any tube amp because it wasn't instant on...
