hey guys
Do you think this could be a good match to the Kemper?

To put the KPA on it? Shure, looks good. But too expensive for a stand
I quit with L6 after the XT Live. Have the G30 Transmitter-Thing which is pretty cool. But who knows... -
Not from line 6, and not from namm, but these look awesome

Thx for sharing that. The Mission piece looks great!

Why spend all that money on a modelling amp with Pod software and iPhone integration if you're just going to run your Kemper through it. The power amp and speakers might work, but you'd probably be better off just buying a powered Xitone combo or something similar.

Hi
Of course I wouldn't be using the pod software, but the xitone you recommand costs twice as much. Also, I'd like to find an frfr solution which looks like a guitar cab, and not a wedge (and if possible cheaper than the clr)Anyways the Mission Engineering I mentioned in my second post looks much more promising. (hope it's not too expensive though)

CheersXitone gives you the option of a wedge or a traditional cab shape, but yes, it would set you back a bit more. I couldn't find a price on the Line 6 until just now.
I agree that the Mission amp looks like a good bet. You could also look at a Tech 21 Power Engine, maybe with a speaker swap, or a decent powered monitor like the Alto TS112A. For what the Line 6 would cost, I'm certain that you could get a better power amp + cabinet solution simply because you're skipping the extra modelling ability that you (presumably) have no use for.

Price for the L6 Amplifi: 350 Euro (75 W), 450 Euro (150 W).

Actually, aside from the amp modeling which hasn't been developped further by Line 6 as it seems, the Amplifi 150 could be quite appealing if it sounds good full range.
Bringing something like this to the table is a very smart move by Line 6, masking the fact that their modeling hasn't evolved in years.
This time nobody talks about this.
Only about how convenient this solution can be.
And that's why it can be very successful. It's a convenience thing.
Even I could be tempted to try one as an amplification solution for my profiler, or BIAS (which I assume is still miles ahead of Line 6’s own modeling at this time).
Interesting. -
The new Line 6 amplify uses the old X3-modelling technology!
WTF???Confirmed in Anderton's demo...

this does not surprise me at all as they have never virtualized the Pod HD algorithms to run on other platforms than the Pod HD hardware (Pod Farm 2 is the VST for the XT/X3 algorithms). I have to imagine they can't get the HD algorithms to run in real-time without DSP chips. which means BIAS is WAY ahead of them as far as mobile goes.
at this point, I really feel like Line 6 has chalked up the Pod HD as deprecated tech. There hasn't been a real update in quite a long time, and there's still lots of complaints about things like the EQ's, a few missing key amp models, IR loading, Input/routing confusion, DSP limits, and misc. other things. now to hear they're not even using this platform in the main product they are promoting at NAMM...
I can't see myself buying another Line 6 product for quite a while. It wasn't just the product quality. There was actually a lot I liked about the Pod HD. It was the complete confusion as to how the company interacts with their customers and how development of the product line would evolve. After the XT/X3 series which had tons of updates and eventually capped out with 100's of amp models, you'd expect similar updates for the HD, but only one real update came. They claimed they were focused on quality over quantity, but I don't think that's true. They were focused on the quantity of products they offered, not the quality of any of the individual ones, although I may give the DT series a pass (since Bogner made those!)

As Ingolf say, if it is a good sounding FRFR stereo portable solution it could be interesting for the KPA, and the modeling part of the equation could be an acceptable backup rig in the same time. But, considering the X3 part, it have to be a real could sounding FRFR solution to convince me...
-
Nice demo of the amplifi

From what I understand AmplIfi is fake stereo (wet-dry) so I doubt that it will be possible to translate this feature from external modeler or profiler... So, if I'm right, It seems that you are stuck with the X3 modeling using this unit...

Looks like a humidifier.

I'll only buy one if all of those dots on the front can light up like a spectrum analyzer and dance around while I play.
-
I tried it out today. I went in from the monitor out of the KPA to the front input (amplifi) with as clean a setting as I could get and it did not sound good at all. The bluetooth connection for playing along with your music sounded very good. I then tried coming in the aux in on the back and it still did not sound good. It sounded as if it had a blanket over it. No dynamics. The music coming through the bluetooth connection while I played along sounded awesome and clean. No one at the store really had any other ideas on making the connection get a clearer sound. The idea was appealing as it seems to have a good speaker system. No go for me as the sound was not good.

My conclusions are different. See here: Line 6 Amplifi 150 - what's the verdict?
