Refer to the manual that came with Rig Manager. You'll find everything explained there
You need USB for communication between the KPA and computer. Audio is handled through the usual methods (XLR, S/PDIF, etc).
AH, thanks.
EH HELL-G.
k, got a usb cable.
... right click a rig in manager, still can't highlight the preview option. figure i have to reboot one or the other, or both, do that later.
anyway, can i then load rigs outside the exchange through it? just got the vintage pack, wouldn't mind not having to lean over to take out the cord and put in the usb stick, thanks
Yes.
In the Rig Manager, you can import existing profiles (.kipr files) from your computer, and then they'll be part of the library and you can do whatever you want with them.
when i boot up the kemper with the usb cord in, it's in a constant reboot mode, cycles the intro boot up over and over. i take out the ubs cord, it boots normaL.
and now the sound on my computer has this metalic sound, and i know from previous experience i have to reboot my computer for it to be fixed.
i don't know what this is, but it's pre 2.3 update.
anyway, got resolved with a mass reboot of all parties.
... still can't get a preview or export, nothing changes when the usb cord is plugged in
i don't know what this is, but it's pre 2.3 update.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean here - are you currently running 2.3 on your Kemper? If you aren't, then that's the problem - the older versions have no way to talk to the Rig Manager.
if double clicking on a rig doesn't preview, try pressing space bar. I had the same problem the first time I tried.
u definitely need to update to 2.3.1 if you haven't already. first time you connect the KPA, windows should install a device driver. once the computer and KPA connect, you should see the KPA pop in the folder view at the bottom in the left-hand side of Rig Manager.
