Hello there all lovely Kemper addicts!
Has anyone got good results experimenting with the shaper stomps?
I think a combination of ducking, the compressor, the shapers and the studio eq could make some very interesting distortion/overdrive/coloring/boost pedals.

Interesting question, because I tried to use hard and even soft sharpers but I heared to much harshness -

yeah think they need to be combined with other effects for best results but to be honest i havent spent a lot of time exploring the possibilities.maybe someone has some actual settings they could share? although maybe just random experimentation is the way to go.

Putting the Soft Shaper in X, set to around 2-2.5, can give a bit of oomph if your tone is feeling a bit dry.

I used them (along with fuzz) for some of the synth-sounding rigs I've posted on the rig Exchange. They can do some really interesting things.

I use the soft shaper around .05, to create the sound of a cabinet (this was recommended to me on another thread by someone else). The cool thing is on say a Soldano solo rig, it gives it a slightly softer edge to the tone. It's awesome being able to switch back and forth so easily.

yes, combined with fuzz you can get all kinds of 'boutique' fuzz sounds from the shapers. I prefer using the Fuzz DS, not the Muff (since it's more of a distortion, really) and it quickly takes me into Factory territory.
Probably not for everyone, but for fuzz connoisseurs it's brilliant!
