"the darker sounding side of profiles" would be just perfect for me!

I know, Gianfranco.
I think a lot of profiles of pack 1 would appeal to you. -
Y'all teasing me enough to buy this pack!
You must be from the southern part of Germany with that twang, Ingolf Yes, by all means buy it!

Wrong Gary, I'm a Northern guy. But I'm learning from y'all.

Like some people said it's more on the darker sounding side of profiles.
I think it has much to do with the Fathead 2 mic. I profiled my Dr Z Rt66 with an i5, e609 and then a FH2 with Lund and the profiles were deeper and darker. When running them live they work out great though. I have been using my Z with various settings exclusively for a long time, but will be using this Dumble for a while.

The pack 1 profiles sound great with Suhr humbuckers (even when split to SCs). Not too dark as the pickups seem to be brighter than most. No EQ adjustments required. When using the Fender with p-rails the profiles are a little darker. Not really an issue since the Kemper has a multitude of EQ options. Of course, volume plays a huge role in how dark they sound (or not) to me. Maybe some of the comments about being dark are related to the pickups Mike used when setting up the amp.

I think a lot of profiles of pack 1 would appeal to you. It's funny, the darker profiles work better in my band mix. The profiles I love to use at home don't always sond great in my band mix. They always require some tweaking to get it to sit just right (usually too bright). The ones I have chosen from these packs haven't required me to turn a knob at all. They sound great through my CLR wedge as well. These, Sweet Spot and Pete's profiles have been great for my gigs.

I'm IN the south, but a northern guy... would never say y'all, though my wife sure might could LOL

With my guitars pack 2 sounds better and if you like Fender, Vox and Dumble you will like pack 2.

Hehe, I guess I'm only assimilating language.

The thing that I found different and pleasurable was the fact that this is the first ( of many) profile packs I have bought where all I have done is turn down the Presence . That`s it! I was satisfied very quickly with most of them as they are. My Les Pauls love them

With my Les Pauls I haven't turned down the Presence at all...I've turned down Presence on other Profiles, but not these...in fact they can do with a touch of added Treble and or Presence with a Les Paul.
They are excellent Profiles...

Mats,
thanks for the tweaks on the Dumble profile. this sounds excellent and right on the border of the carlton/ford type of tones.Michael, Looking forward to a Dumble/Clone pack as each version seems to excel in different areas, having them all and able to tweak them all would be a great thing

Hmmm, you might've just sold me with that comment! Fender and Vox amps have become a bit of a fetish since I got my KPA (must get my old AC30 fixed and profile it soon!). I might have to buy these sooner rather than later after all! Although I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with regards to the Dumble. I guess I'll have to play through it to find out.
Cheers,

The /13-profiles sound very "voxy", too, already favourites of mine. Generally Mike's pack 2 is very unique, the profiles are different, many good clean profiles and I like the special amps like Little Walter and CAA. Normally it's hard to find good clean and low-gain profiles and the KPA-world is full of metal and high-gain ones.
My personal "exquisite" profile-mixture is now made of Armin, Andy, MW, Mike, some free ones and some of my own.

Hey Ingolf!!
Whatever you use...Just don't lose that sweet "Fixx tone" that you were so exquisitely pouring from your finger tips last time I got to listen to one of your tunes!!! Your tune fit so well and took me back to a great era and time in my life man!! -
Oh, you can take the tone out of Ingolf, but you can't take the Ingolf out of tone!!
