Why is it so difficult to profile the marshall vm2266c? The evh 5150 iii was no issue, neither was the vox ac30hw2... Don't get it.

What kind of problems are you having with it?

Yes, a little more detail would be helpful.

Sometimes the Kemper just has a hard time. For some reason (I don't know why it should be) occasionally just doing a profile then throwing that away and immediately doing another without exiting profiling mode can help make a better profile. Also occasionally it just takes a really long time of refining, like 10 minutes or more then magically it just sort of gets there.
Other factors of course - isolation of the amp, proximity of the mic to the cab, loudness of the amp, muffling of room reflections. Making sure not to profile with your monitors in the same room as the amp unless you turn off your monitors (as it plays back the same sound through the monitors as the amp which of course the mic will pick up).
Then of course making sure that your settings on the Kemper are at neutral when you do the profile, no fx etc.
There's quite a lot of good stuff on the wiki about profiling, but as others have mentioned, more information, maybe even a sound clip to compare the results could help solve the problem.

Hi Per, Thanks for the useful tips.. I'll try all of that.
The problem is that the result doesn't sound anything like the real amp. Nowhere near. It sounds harsh. The other amps I mentioned gave no problem. Just put a mike in front, start profiling, and it's done. And it sounds the same. Not so with the vintage modern. I love this amp because it sounds so sexy, so classic 70ies. I like to turn up the mids on this amp. Tried to mike it with several positions. I also realize the speakers are a big part of the sound, but I'm hooking up the Kemper to a G12H speaker, as where the VM2266C have internal G12C speakers (close to G12M), so the difference is not that huge in my humble opinion.

Does the amp sound harsh if you put your ear where you have been putting the microphone?
The microphone positions you are trying may be pointed too close to the center of the speaker. Or, if it is an open back cabinet, one close microphone will not give you the same kind of depth moving the mic back, or adding a second mic.

Couple of questions...
1) are you able to isolate what the amp sounds like miked and the kemper profile from the live amp? If you're in the same room with a cranked amp, consider headphones or something. If you can't hear just the kemper output during profiling, you are screwed before you even start.
2) How are you refining and for how long, and how many times?

There's a certain (small) number of amps that can't be properly profiled because of the way they manage distortion stages. See the wiKPA for more details.
Not sure whether your is included tho. -
I give up. I tried again so many times this morning. Amp in the other room. Different mike positions. Different settings on the amp. No effects, not on the Kemper, not on the amp. Refining profile several times... I also bought the VM2266 profiles from Andy, they don't sound like the original either. Too much bass, not enough attack, hard mid... I'm just gonna keep the Marshall and not sell it anymore.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and your help.
