No i didn´t...why should i? A impulse response usually includes the poweramp section of a tubeamp...does not make sense to me..only with Preamp profiles...
New profiling (Better cab separation)

It remains to be seen how TAF, MBritt, Wagener, SoundSide, etc sound when split with this new algorithm.
Will most or only a minority actually use this professionally? I had 4 cabs one time with my amps for tonal variety, but truthfully, I ended up using just each full amp's own speaker chain most of the time so I didn't have to carry 2 Guitar CAB's with me.
It's exciting that this technology may finally exists, which has been much slandered by discussion these past years concerning it's impossibility and arbitrarily chosen departure point.
If so, then CK has done it... AGAIN! (ok, his team, go Kemper Team!)

Hi! There are many IRs in the market captured with a "flat response" power amp.
I haven't tried it yet. I have the Bigbox series from Redwirez.
-
But still - why using them when i have a killer profile with a killer cab included...but seperated
its not about trying if they work...they will work...i want to check more how accurate it is. Real amp to cab - Profile to cab.
If its accurate..i could even mic it up again -

I only ask, because they wrote this.
The main benefits of this new format are perfect separation between Amplifier and Cabinet Profiles, the ability to handle so-called "Direct Amp Profiles" (those created without a cabinet) in an accurate fashion, and the opportunity to merge such Direct Amp Profiles with cabinets either copied from any usual Studio Profile or with Cabinet Presets generated from impulse responses via CabMaker (v. 2.0).
-
In my opinion, the merging works only with the profile from the same setup. You can add a different cab yes - but from another allready merged profile (perfect seperated cab)....should work with a flat impulse response also...but not merging...changing cab later
some testers did try do do only one studioprofile...and merged the cab to DI profiles of the same amp..but with different settings. Worked..but sounded different to the studioprofile of the same setup.
Why? Because the cab responses also different to different amp settings -

Having the possibility to change the cab without afecting the DI profile could be a solution for you. Yes it's probably going to be a bit different from the real thing because of the amp-cab interaction, but it's going to be better than what we have now.

I love your profiles
I must abmit,I sold my gear /Amp,cab./ because Kemper is main tool for me.
But I need blend DI amp prof. with differends cab.
Your JVM profiles are killer ,but you have V30 speakers and I want to try with GT 75 or differend sp.Sorry I know it is out of this thread.
-
Than ask me for my DI profiles with Merged cab and try with some impulses..or wait for Merged profiles that include such cabs
The JVM profiles of the combo i did have a different speaker...G12B-150 -

Yes man yes that will make every Amp profile usable..because the amp settings are usually not the problem...check with you favourite cabs..pick up one...done

@Deadlightstudio
Ooooooh I really want to test this function out, but I have a gig tomorrow and don't want to jinx anything! It'd be perfect otherwise, as I'm one of those that plays through a guitar cab live with Monitor Out Cabs off, but has the main outs to FOH with cabs engaged. Looking forward to testing it at some point (but first I have to install P-Rails and Triple Shots in my LP, which I'm picking up from the luthier in 10 mins, after having a fret dress )Cheers,

Do Mesa amps have a special output, designed to be used with solid state/linear/digital power amps?
On most amplifiers, Line Out is not the same thing as a DI box connected between the amplifier and speaker cabinet. It is a Preamp out, intended to be used with a typical non-linear tube power amp.
-
Exciting news
Now we'll need a way to tell an "old" profile" from one got through the new feature, whether we look at it in the Profler itself, on RE or in RM.
Pretty sure Mothership has already implemented this -

It's a DI just taken in parallel with (?) the cone. Way stronger that line level!
QuoteThe SLAVE Output and its accompanying Level control provide an output for capturing the sound of both preamp and power section. This feature may be used to drive additional slave power amplifiers for big venue applications or to drive a string of outboard processors when using the EFFECTS LOOP is not desirable. It is not a direct recording output as it derives its signal from the speaker jacks and is much too strong a signal to connect to the input of a console. Also there is no roll off of high frequencies or shaping, as the speaker does this, so the sound would be less than desirable for recording applications. The signal from the SLAVE Output is powerful. Always start with the LEVEL control set to its lowest position (7:00) when connecting to anything and bring the level up slowly to avoid damaging gear (and ears) downstream of the amp.

Ok i was able to test now the Kemper with Real cab against the Real thing.
Its amazing..sounds exteme close..monitor out EQ everything at 0. There is a difference...but only that the Kemper sounds to me 1% better haha i dont know
Big improvement..thats for sure! -

COOL Profiles!!!
I tried with some impulses and works well.
I can compare only on studio monitors.I have not guitar cab.
If you want to have ,,Studio profiles" don't push,, merge button", because will drastically change sound. This is my experience, with impulses response

isnt merge cabinet dissapeard after first time saving as merged? it should be gone

Sorry I don't understand question!
1.
I loaded impulses ...Cabmaker
Then in to Kemper. If you want loaded from usbstick, there not seen import but push button and import is done.2.
loaded your DI pofiles and from cabinet preset loaded new cab /kipr impulses/ -
yes....
but when i create a DI profile...the cab button does not light....when i paste the Cab from the studioprofile to that profile and press merge - it sounds like the studioprofile...when i save it...the question "merge cabinet" should be gone when you load different cabs. Merging is only for the Cab that belongs to the DI profile...not for different cabs
