As the Kemper Remote is coming out soon, thought it would be a good idea to start a thread regarding pedal boards, cases and how people are fixing there pedals to the boards. With the FCB i was trasporting it from gig to gig in my old line 6 FBV bag, it was the perfect fit. At a gig unzip the bag, put the pedal on the floor and plug in 3 leads and away you go. Now with the remote we can hook up expression pedal and i dont want the hassle of pluggin all the pedals in at every gig arranging them on the floor, so ive started to do some research in to pedal boards cases and how im going to fix them to the boards. Now i have though maybe go to the local hardware shop and get them to cut me a bit of wood and attach the remote to that along with the expression pedals and hopefully if its no bigger than the FCB then it will fit in my line 6 FBV bag...... but then i though how am i going to attach the pedals to the board without damaging them etc and maybe the bag doesnt give the pedals the right protection. So i went online and looked at pedal boards and cases. There are some good looking robust ones out there and i like the idea of taking the board out of the case to play at a gig then putting it back when finished, but again whats the best way to attach the pedals to the board. Ive also seen the cases where you just lift the lid off play the gig then put the lid back on, but will the lip of the board make it a little more awkward to put my foot on the right pedal/button.
What are you guys all planning on doing when you get the remote? anyone have any good ideas on attaching the pedals to the boards? or anyone out there found a really good case or bag to use?
I'm not very good at DIY coz i dont have all the tools etc. So i'd rather buy something ready made if Possible. Looking forward to all the ideas.
