Focusrite Scarlet 6i6 and Kemper?

    Hello, I am planning on buying the Focusrite Scarlet 6i6 for my iMac to connect the Kemper. My idea is the use the SPDIF connection to 6i6 and the attach my Active Monitors also to the 6i6.


    My question is that can I easily get the sound of the Kemper and iMac "destop audio" (iTunes, Guitar Pro, Backing tracks, Youtube etc) mixed and to the active monitors at the same time?


    Now I have a Line 6 UX1 and I have to open Garage band and make a dummy song with Kemper in one track to hear the Kemper from the monitors and it is annoying.

    i have the same Interface,
    its works with no Problem
    Plug In the spdif from and to kemper and interface
    and plug the audio out of the Mac in the ins 1 and two
    in the software mixer you can set up what you want to hear
    and save it as a startup into the interface

    Scarlett 6i6 highly recommended !
    It works flawlessly with Yosemite, Logic pro x in my case.
    Nice , clear and loud sound , lots of posibilities .
    The most important for Kemper users is SPDIF - Kemper never sounded so good when recorded with my previous museum Maudio pro :)

    OK, now I have it and I am a bit lost in the mixer :D


    Any tips how to set it up for everyday usage for just playing to backing tracks coming from itunes, kemper via spdif and output to my active monitors?


    also is there way get the OSX keyboard volume control to work?

    he he ...after 2-3 weeks I am too still lost in the Scarlett mixer ....this is the only downside thing with this machine ..
    somehow, I manage to have it the way I like, and I am not touching it anymore .
    Will do that once I find hour or two to focus and learn the damn thing properly
    also, people who do understand how real studio mix console works, say it is very simple....
