When I plugged in my remote, I assumed that, along with the current rigs showing up in buttons 1-5, the effects associated with those rigs would work on effects buttons 1-4, just as they do on my FCB 1010 They do not. Any help is appreciated.

Ron, you need to assign switches I-IIII manually. The profiler can't know what you want to have controlled and where.
and to assign them, its easy hold the switch down on the remote to what one you want it assigned to then press the effect/stomp you want assigned and its done Easy as that
There's also an auto assign option in the system menu, though.
And don't forget to store and save, store and save, and store and save every rig on the KPA. It's not real clear in the manual you have to save the pedal assigns
There's also an auto assign option in the system menu, though.
Which IMO is pretty useless at the moment.
Hence my FR to make auto assign customizable for what a user needs.

Thanks Guys. Much appreciated.

Do we have to assign all the stomps we need to use in a rig, or only the ones we want access to from the pedalboard? (For example, can I add an active noise gate to a rig without assigning it to the Remote?)
Sure.
Yes, you can have all FX slots enabled in a rig and maybe only want to control one, which you then assign to the Remote.
Thanks.

Auto assign is also a little confusing....I've had it where it assigns the FX, and the LEDs indicate the FX are assigned, but toggling the switch does nothing....the FX remain locked in the on position.
As to the OP...also keep in mind that an FX switch can be assigned to multiple slots, for example, you could have a FS toggle both a boost and a delay for a lead part, etc.
