Hello, I recently ordered a Kemper from Reverb.com and the vendor I purchased it from was out of stock. They have offered to send me an "older model White version" with less features? Does this exist and what are the missing features? Would these features be added with a firmware update?

There is only one Kemper model, so yes, all current features will be there when you update firmware.
-
i thought so, just wanted to make sure

If you want a non-powered KPA, no worries
If you want a power amp in your KPA, make sure this one has an amplifier in it.
No matter what, be sure and get a discount for accepting that "older model"

oh yea i got a discount and free overnight shipping so i should be getting it tomorrow gonna be a great saturday
-
Yep, only options are the power amp version and non-powered on the KPA. Have fun tomorrow, oh yeah.. .you will

Older model white version? Haha, good one.
It's true that the white toaster version is the first original model, feature-wise they are all the same, unless you want the powered version which sports the poweramp. -
Remember though the white one sounds better, more vintage

Naaa... Blacks do it better

White for sure, I have A&B'd both of them and it's really no contest.

... A Darker Shade Of Green ...

Definitely the White one is more vintage. The difference comes from NOS DSP. Black KPAs have modern DSP inside. And White KPA can also reach brighter highs thanks to its color. You can not fool the physics - resonance. Bit I can not tell you more details, because I have patent pending for it.

The Blackface feels very vintage to me!

Damn! I think I ordered the green toaster! Tell me it ain't so? Oh well, I suck anyway so it probably won't matter.

There is not functional difference between "old" and "new" models, just Colors. All Features can be obtained with Profiler operating system updates. If it is "older" in Terms of an operating System before 1.8.2, update to 1.8.2 first before updating to 3.0.2, which is the current stable release.

The red ones are quicker.
