Reamping with Kemper. How to record for reamping and actually reamp.

Hi folks!

I've recorded kind of a tutorial on how to record for reamping and then reamp your guitar track.
It is not that complicate, but if somebody didn't try it or don't know how to start, you can check this guide.

nice tutorial. one question I like to ask: how do I know my audio board is capable of the connection you made? as far as I remember roland (I have an edirol) told me it cannot be possible to reamp. I don't trust them.

My edirol (fa101) has 8 input and 8 output so I was going to approach reamping with the simplest way: from the main outs of the kemper to the main 1 and 2 input of the audio board (the front ones). in the meantime I was going to connect a cable from the kemper direct out (setted for a clean guitar) going to a third input of my board so that I can have two tracks on my daw: the main sound and a clean guitar track that I would later use for reamp.

in the reamp process I would then link the clean guitar track to an audio board output which would go to the front guitar input of the kemper.

your sistem is way too comfortable...but the one I described is suitable?

I've not done it yet, Michael, but FWIMBW, the manual recommends using the rear input IIRC.

I could be wrong 'though, but I'm guessing that it's got something to do with the DAW's outs being line-level ones as opposed to the guitar-level signal the front input on the KPA is designed for.

uhm....ok. I'll do in this way: I will record as mentioned so to have a clean track for later reamping use. I think the most important thing in reamping is to have a clean track...having that I can try it myself or use a reamping service

Hi, michaelmellner. Sorry I've missed you reply.
Seems Monkey_Man explained correctly - I agree, probably better to use the rear one. Just monitor the input levels. Check that input led on Kemper stays in green-yellow colour when reamping track is playing.
