Someone's going to have to programme a Skoczy profile into the board's software in order to ensure comprehensive monitoring of all parameters and effective interpretation thereof.

Then again, how could a "model" (profile in our language) possibly beat the real Skoczy?

As long as he doesn't require tube replacements or servicing, I'm going with the real thing.

OK, I'm gonna buck the trend here and flat out state that I could care less about spring reverb. I much prefer using delay for my rigs anyway ...

Hmm... I only just mentioned the incessant nagging in the forum on this issue in another thread, and here we have proof it's the most nagged-about feature... ever?

Everyone's going to complain "it doesn't sound like the one in MY amp"
I've owned a lot of amps in my time, and no 2 models have the same reverb.
Most fender models don't have a similar sounding verb.
All depends on the tank and the cirquit layout.
Whatever one Kemper choose to model will inevitably be "the wrong one"

Well, that's your personal case.
We can't speak for everyone when it comes to stuff like this, every guitarist has different needs.Some probably don't even use delays.

The hard fact is that spring reverb is one of the most asked features since the Kemper unit was released.

I truly believe we will see this feature arrive to the kemper unit one day, until then we can't do anything more than wait(other than asking the feature of course).

Well hopefully it will be very tweakable, so it will please the greatest number of people.

The spring reverb in my Fender Pro keeps dying on me...to the point where I've given up on fixing it.
I have been using a SubDecay Super Spring Theory and it's fantastic....very realistic and very tweakable.

If they manage to squeeze something like that into the KPA, I will be a very happy man.

I've been thinking about this a little, and here's what I reckon:

The Team should employ a convolution engine for the spring 'verb. I say this for a number of reasons:

1) Accurate-sounding algorithms will be CPU hogs, and there's no escaping this.
2) Said algorithms will require much R&D, especially if a number of "brands" and models are, well, modelled.
3) Relating to #2, these 'verbs aren't Kemper's bread and butter, hence my speculation that they'd not be worth the R&D - leave that sort of algorithmic 'verb emulation to companies such as Universal Audio.

Should they go the route I've suggested, we could reasonably expect a decent range of models to choose from, knowing that they'd accurately represent the units "sampled". The Kemper versions won't, of course, mirror all the units in circulation out there for the reason that they'll all differ, more so the older they get. They will however accurately reflect what one could expect from the actual units for which the IRs were made.

Just my two bob's worth. IMHO, any approach other than the above one will be fraught with much angst and gnashing of teeth.
