While the Wah Booster seems like a good idea, once on it adds the level bump regardless of the bypass state of the wah pedal. I cannot work out how to have it only boost the preset level when the Wah pedal is engaged. Can this be done?

Can you set it for 0 boost at heel position?

There doesn't seem to be a facility to do that. -
0 boost at heel position here, no problem.
The Wah Booster confused me for a while, until I realized that the boost effect is separate from the stomp's volume knob. The volume knob is just a flat, preset boost, but the pedal will still add boost even with volume at <0.0>.

OK, I see that but what happens is that the boost increases as the wah travels through its sweep. That's not how I expect it to work. I need a flat boost the moment the wah is engaged, and bypass when it's disengaged; not a progressive increase in level.

Use the Volume knob in the Wah then?
-
You are probably doing well when you switch to the Pure Booster.
-
Yep, I am missing why you use a pedal while - IIGYR - you just need a fixed-amount boost...

Use the Volume knob in the Wah then?
The wah is before the preamp. A boost here only increases the input gain, not the overall level.

Sorry if you already have tried this, but can't you just make another rig with boosted volume and wah on, and then change between the two??

Yes, but I am running out of available switches and I don't want to have to bank up.

Ok, what about a studio eq with just level boost in a post slot? Or another booster in an available slot? Or are switch I-IIII all used up too?
-
Is there any way to set up a second Wah effect after the amp instead of the booster so that it's at a neutral setting and just has the volume knob turned up? Maybe if the pedal/peak range are both at 0? I'm not sure.

It doesn't work. Adding the second wah creates a kind of filtering sound even when it's off.

It's more buttons to press. The idea is to avoid having to do that.
