Can I use TRS cables for the 1/4" main outputs or do I need to use TS cables?
Thanks

either will work. I don't think TRS will give you any major benefit really as its a mono signal out.

Thanks Robman! Much appreciated!
Let me go a little further into the details of what I am trying to do. I am trying to record a 3 piece band into a UAD Apollo. There are 4 XLR inputs on the UAD. I have vocals in XLRs 1 and 2 and an acoustic guitar into XLR 3. I also have a keyboard running through the SPDIF. That leaves me one XLR input for the Kemper. Would it be preferable to connect the Kemper via one XLR (this would be mono, correct?) from the left main or should I connect two 1/4" cables (TRS or TS) from the Kemper's 1/4" main outputs to line inputs 5 and 6?

Hello Count,
the 1/4" sockets are all unbalanced.
Provided there's no misalignment, balanced 1/4ù" should work fine as well, They won't give you a balanced line tho. -
If you've just got one input left, no harm connecting from right master out of Kemper to the interface. Just be sure to set the right output setting for your application, I.e. Git/master mono.

TRS carries a stereo signal (unbalanced) only in the headphone output, for all the others ins and outs the TRS means BALANCED vs UNBALANCED signal.

Now i am a little bit confused. Imo there is no trs output with 1/4 jacks on the kpa. The only use of a trs cable is the jack for a wah or expression pedal. What do you mean? The xlr outputs are symetrical and the main out 1/4 are unsymetrical.
Am i wrong? -

Am i wrong?Perfectly right. The manual states:
MAIN OUTPUTS
L and R: XLR balanced
1/4 inch TS unbalanced with ground lift, max output level: XLR +22dBu, TS +16dBu
