CHECKLIST:
6 different guitars = noise
2 different guitar cables = noise
Recording vocals = same booming noise frequency
Desktop vs laptop = noise, no difference
Laptop on battery unplugged = noise
Re-install Tascam drivers = noise
Kemper DI, Radial J48 and Tascam instrument = no difference
Different USB cable = noise
Any more ideas?!
I dont think I ever experienced this issue before, but since a couple of months ago I've noticed this really nasty low frequency.
Not sure if it's Kemper tho.
This happens on all guitars (for some reason, especially loud on A chords like in the clip)
On ALL profiles (distorted ones)
So what hell am I going to do?
Kemper > SPDIF > Tascam US-144MKII > Cubase 7
EDIT1: We can scratch Kemper out of the issue list because I get the same booming sound when going through Radial J48 box into Positive Grid Bias Amp...
Tried another cable and it still booms.
So what else can I do?
EDIT2: Tried a guitar with passive humbucker (I have EMGs in all others) and the boom was still there , so pickup type is not a factor either.
What more?
