Thanks guys.
On my phone so can't reply fully.
I can't decide if the recto is boomy or if you guys just don't like the amp. Recto into recto cab has massive low end that some people love. I'll try and control it a bit more and upload a new profile.
Doing the mark v today and tomorrow so I should be able to get back to the recto later in the week.

I almost wet my pants waiting impatiently for the release of your rig packs. I was going to buy another rig pack when I saw this thread and tried your free profiles. Anyway my first post here in the forum but have been a Kemper user for a longer while.

the crunch Mk 5 freebie is great, and I am neither a metalhead nor a D. Theater fan. Pure rock power. I have your Marshalls in my list, but may have to add the Boogie and the EVH. This Mick come lately or new kid in Kempertown promises good stuff, eh?

Thanks guys.
I know this is taking a long time but I would never release anything I'm not 100% happy with.
The 6505, EVH and MKV packs are finished.
Once I get Triple Rectifier, Marshall 30th Anniversary and SL5 done, I will get the web store set up.
Any other amps will follow from there.
I have scrapped the 800 and Silver Jubilee. I just wasn't happy with them compared to how my profiles are sounding now.
I'm going to borrow the Jubilee again and try to get a different 800 because the one I had was modded and I think it's a bit choked compared to a stock one. Might be able to get a Zakk Wyle 800.
The shockerverb pack will remain free. I'm getting a Jim Root Terror and a Thunder 30 in the next couple of weeks too.
Thanks for the support. -
Mick - do you like the Mesa Lone Star Classic? It is a 100/50/10 Watt (Class A in 10 watt mode) head with 4 x 6L6s out of the box although it can be converted to run with El34s or even 6v6s with a bit of extra hardware. Nobody has done it - apparently Choptones had one but lost the profiles they created in a hd crash. Plenty of profiles with the 30 w Lone Star special.

Wow! was the fastest MKV ever packed

I'll see if I can get a hold of a lonestar. I'd love to have the profiles to use myself.
A friend of mine who works in a music instrument store lent me the mkv overnight so I did about 20 hours straight through the night with it. Ended up dropping my daughter to school without her bag, I was so tired the next day. Had to go home and get it and drop it back up. Was a zombie for the whole day. Just about recovered now

Lonestar will be a great addiction -
Yes. They sound amazing
Really happy with how they came out.

I'll be glad to have some nice jim root terror profiles My Jim Root orange exploded on stage when someone flicked the voltage switch.

Amp begging may be unseemly...
But what the heck, I have already put in a request for a definitive vintage Yngwie profiling rig, I might as well add a request for a Soldano SLO-100 (boosted by Tube Screamer).
What can I say, I am a child of the Eighties!
-
Would also love a lone star that sounded like Andy Timmons tones (clean and dirty). I haven't heard a profile to capture that yet.
-
Rather than specific amps, I would love you to see something along the lines of "album" or "song" profiles, Mick.
I was mighty impressed with what you did with the Car Crash profiles, they are pretty much my go to these days.
They absolutely sound sick on recordings too, and that's without any tweaking.
It would be great if you did some profiles for songs or artists (across various eras), for example.

I can possibly get a Hot Rod 50. Working on it =]
For now, here is a EVH Blue channel boosted with TS808 into Marshall cab.
This is a killer 80s shred tone from the EVH pack.

I think once the right amp and cab are used, the artist sound should come easy enough.
The Carcrash sound is just the 30th anniversary head boosted.
It sounds like the old Carcass sound because that's what they used rather than me setting up a Carcass sound.
Also, the MKV in MKIV mode with high gain through mesa cab nails the Metallica AJFA sound, because it's the right gear rather than me chasing that sound in particular.
Once the sound is good with good mic placement and good mic pres and converters, it should be easily tweaked.
