I would love to get rid of my digitech drop pedal and just use the kemper to transpose, but there is far less latency with the digitech pedal.
A shorter latency time when using the transpose feature.

The time was reduced with a recent FW update, Sean.
Is your machine up-to-date?

I just did an A/B comparison with the digitech drop vs the Kemper tranpose function and noticed the digitech beats it for speed and accuracy. On the kemper, I load it into slot A and even bypassed all effects and amp modeling. Switching it in and out was pretty noticeable to me...I'm only taking it down one semitone, and I notice some unacceptable modulation in the tone also. Definitely was hoping this feature would be better since I just bought it, but I'll have to stick with the digitech pedal on the front of the amp for now. My OS is at 5.3.1.13085. Build date was 07/18/17. Didn't read anything in the latest addendum about the newest version fixing this. Anyone have any word on this? It looks like the last forum complaints on this date back to 2015.

Signed.
It’s ok but not really very usable in my opinion.

I do use it live for a couple of tracks. Firstly the latency does seem to be more than the Drop pedal, but I have to say that the tone sounds better to my ears. The worst part is a small section of clean guitar I use it on, which is very noticeable.
You do end up compensating for the delay after a while though and the recent update is what made it useable for me. I certainly wouldn't complain about a further efficiency in the code however.

I totally agree, I have been using the digitech drop to handle my transposing needs. To my ears the digitech drop retains more high end then the Kemper and the latency is much less noticeable. I am still running a pedal board for a few outboard effects so not too big of a deal, but for people running the remote and no pedals an update on the transpose feature would be nice.

This is a HOG 2 vs the Kemper.

I'm a big user of the Transpose/Harmonizer feature and I would REALLY welcome a further update making it faster of course and more natural sounding if possible.
CK - is this at all possible to do by you and your team? (I hate lugging my Eventide H8000 around for some uses)

I used to carry my Whammy DT for Whammy and Drop tunes. Recently I sold It and I'm just using Tranpose. But latency and tracking aren't the same as Digitech.
