OK I'm 3 days into my new Kemper and loving it - however somehow it's stuck in a mode where the gain is 'swelling' no matter what preset I have it on. The LED's around the Gain knob are pulsing up and down and no matter what preset I change to it keeps doing it. Even tried a factory default. WTF is going on?! The tempo seems to be mirrored on the Remote alternating between the top and bottom LED on the numbered patch selector.

Is it locked?
study carefully the LOCK fonction
Good ''lock''

sounds like you have activated the morphing function
-
Do you have an open lead plug into one of the pedal/footswitch sockets? This will cause the Kemper to 'hunt' for a pot/switch value.
-
As Kemper Support #1 says. It sounds like morph is activated. Check to see if the gain parameter has a little M showing next to it or not.
-
it is probably a combination of using morph unknowingly and having an open cable in a pedal input that is configured to work as a morph controller like mentioned by Andy TV.

Andy nailed it. I instinctively had the 2 switch inputs connected to my patchbay (as is the way - connect everything!) As soon as I unplugged them it all came good. Cheers for the assist!

As long as you set the pedal inputs to "off" on the corresponding pedal page in the system menu you can leave them connected to your patchbay.
