I recently accidentally just deleted a profile that I spent three days creating.... Is there anyway to get it back that I don't know of? Thanks!

do you have a backup made before it was deleted were the profile was existing ?
-
I looked and looked and I don't even know where the profile came from. I don't know if it was original with the profiler or if it was on the Rig exchange. It's a mystery. I was hoping there was something I didn't know of that could bring it back.

Each time you saved the profile, did you store it, or replace the original profile? If you used the store command you should have each of the previous versions of the profile, with a different date stamp for each time you saved it.

I continued to replace it as I edited it. I'm sure at some point I stored it but I cannot find it anywhere.

No backup? Got SOL insurance?

Hello!
That's the reason why I created a folder named "My Profiles".
It is not linked with the rest and I copy all my profiles in it.
So if there's a problem between KPA and / or RM my profiles are
not affected by it.
And don't forget a backup from time to time!
Regards
Peter

Also check your snapshots. A tiny chance it’s in there.

It would be a great feature for rig manager to grab a backup of your rigs with auto save. The regularity could be set by the user in options?

This won't help you get that profile back, but here's a suggestion for future tweaking.
Don't edit profiles in browse mode. Find a profile you want to fiddle with and load it into a performance slot. Rigs in performance mode are entirely separate from the browse pool. Editing, deleting or overwriting in performance mode has no affect on the browse pool.
Slot 1 is the unedited profile. Slot 2, the modified one. A/B comparisons are super easy.
Once you're happy, export the newly tweaked rig to the browse pool with a new name. Change the Rig author so you can see yours against the others. -
Thanks guys for all your help!

I do a quick backup each night before I shut down my KPA just to save any tweaks I may have made to my profiles. I save the profile after each tweak but I like the added insurance of a full backup. Only takes a minute. A good habit to get it. I do an "Export All Rigs" every so often, too but those take a while.

How are you doing that backup? Thanks

All you need to do is stick a USB stick in for a backup
