Hi,
The session I had planned didn't work out quite as I had hoped. Due to people not paying their invoices in time and the fact that VERY few people donate to BT King, I couldn't afford the session I had hoped for.
So here's what happened. The owner and I decided to help each other. I would demo the KPA for him and help him profile some of his amps in the process as he wants to keep abreast of technology and I could get some of the profiles we made. So I went there last Saturday and we had a really good time and profiled some great amps. The amps were profiled using a mix of 2 Sennheiser 421. One on a Alnico Blue and the other on a Celestion G12-65, both mounted in a Bruno 4x12. The 421s were then routed through a vintage Neve preamp each before going to the SSL 9000 console. Monitoring was done using the ATC speaker system.
I recorded some video and took some pictures at the studio and when I got home I recorded some sound clips with the new profiles taken from a Two Rock TS-1 and a Suhr ML-100.
All this were put into a video that is now on Youtube and you can watch it here:
I will upload the 4 profiles used in the video to the Rig Exchange as soon as I have the time.
Cheers,
Mats N
