I like the little vibrato on the end notes of the verse riff. It's a nice touch.

What a great track! Once again I need to take time to really sit down and figure out how you weave together all those parts in their proper place so no part step on another in the arrangement.
I have most of the TAF profiles. Have to look for this one.

Fantastic sounding Franjoe30 ! Great poppy chords, you can really feel the vocal line in there wanting to come out. Like the use of contrast between the mids forward lead tone and the rhythm guitar work.
Thanks Per The lead tone is actually just the same profile with a little phaser and particle delay added

Thanks Mats_Nermark to be honest it is just luck that these turn out this way. I particularly like the "TAF - Blue Cr2" profile, with humbuckers it sounds really gained up but isn't saturated at all and is full of clarity and with single coils its jsut great for that crunchier jangle.

New tune, Who are you supposed to be
Hi there, wrote this tonight, its a bit of a quirky riff with a poppy feel. Again i used the TAF Blue profile.
-
Awesome track. I like the use of the start/stop rhythm guitar throughout, adds so much textural dimension.

Sounds epic! Nice melody and really fantastic riffs as ever that you have such a gift for. Thanks for sharing.

Touch of Joe Perry sound/technique in that one.

Killer tune Joe, the title is very fitting for todays weather :), your riffs/licks/solo's are world class

Your rhythm chops are out of this world and the way you arrange them should serve as a case study for all rock players who write songs.
There are so few players who recognize the importance of solid rhythm playing.
May I ask what guitar you used in the intro?

Thank you so much Mats_Nermark I've always enjoyed playing riffs and rhythm guitar, probably more than trying to play lead. When i get the right tone, which isn't hard on a Kemper, i could just chunk along for hours haha. I discovered Alterbridge and Mark Tremonti just as they released their Blackbird record, quite a long time ago now. I always loved how great the songs sounded and were arranged and how strong the rhythm guitar parts always were. I suppose in some way all the writing and recording i do is to try and get to a point where i can write a tune as good as they can. I'm still trying haha. I do have a formula that i gnerally stick too which is, Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, middle 8/Solo, chorus to finish. I generally do this in the vane hope that a singer wants to writs lyrics and perform on it haha. Thank you again for the comments, i am very, very greatful

Mats_Nermark The guitar i used for the whole song is an Ibanez Jem with dimarzio evolution pickups, i just rolled the volume back on the verse sections and added a touch or phaser and delay to the melody and the lead parts. The whole song is the TAF Blue Cr2 profile.

Thanks for the info. For some reason I use the volume control on Strats a lot but not on HB equipped guitars. Hmmm?
