I want to set up my exp pedal for volume swells and keep the delay tails. I can do this with the guitars volume control but when I create a morph on the Rig Volume it abruptly cuts the delay tails off with the guitar signal. What am I forgetting?

Use volume pedal rather than morph. Put is after the stack but before the reverb
If you want to use Morph then morph the Amp volume rather then Rig volume. -
The Amp Volume morph only takes me down to -12.0db and there is still sound from the stack. It does not let me go down to (-)infinity. I'll switch to Volume pedal.

If you try to avoid another pedal, you could use this workaround:
place an effect loop pre the reverb effect, morph its Mix from 100% to 0% and leave the SEND output and RETURN input idle.

I have my Volume Pedal set before the stack and it does swells without cutting the trails (same as you would be using the volume on the guitar).
No need to use morphing
