I want to profile my galleon krueger 1001RB only the head not the cabinet

Hi, I am new to the Kemper. ( I just purchased a Powerrack and am waiting on it to arrive}

I want to use it instead of my GK 1001RB bass head. I will be using the Powerrack with my SVT 8x10 cab.

The GK has a DI out on the front.

Can I run an xlr from the DI into the return input on my Powerrack profiler without connecting my cabinet?

Yes for Solid State amps.

If you have a headphone jack on the amp that mutes the cab then just plug in an old headphone jack to mute the cab during profiling. That way you don't have to disconnect anything.

you can also use the Send to profile the preamp only

Just looked at the manual for the GK. i would try profiling from the FX send rather than DI but try both and see which gives the best result for you.

only if you want the Cab profiled as well. In your case should be better to use the send and make a direct profile
