To be honest these terms and there use may always be confusing at first because there so connected.
Example
If you want to Download the profile of a amp you have to go to the Rig exchange and download a Rig.
Then the guys selling profiles of Amp never refer to them as rigs.
So when you download a RIG or profile from any of these places you get .Kipr and it loads as a rig and you have to scroll through rigs to find the new profile you just loaded.
So if we define all saved profile's become as a Rig's I think everything starts to sync up.
OK I'll let it go at that.

First spam bot account & IP in our wiki blocked.
Looks like it's already getting some attention from unwanted critters. Will keep it completely open for some more time, but I already smell that we'll have to restrict write access soon ... and take some measures against automated spam bot registration.So be quick, if you plan to get an account on http://www.wikpa.org the easy way.

Edit: Still amazing work but I have one suggestion. I was browsing the effectsection of the wiki and I think it would be more userfriendly if you'd have all the explanations for the effects written on the same page so that you can scroll through it and you don't have to get back and select the next link you want to read. Just like the usual wikipedia articles work

glad you like it so far. Still a lot of work to do, obviously.
The reason I started the effects section like this was the following:
First of all I would like to explain or list the options and parameters of every single effect for reference. But I would like to see this extended by useful examples of the particular effect. Could be specific settings or even sound examples if someone cares to help and create them and put them on Soundcloud. Many things we could add to every effect's page and one single page for all effects would become way to long, imho. That's why I tried to give it some structure right from the beginning.Cheers,

Great work and very helpfull. I'm waiting for more effect explanations, because i'm not experienced enough with most of them.

This sooner or later leads to the question of quoting from the original manuals. It does not really make sense to invent the wheel a second time with every description of what a WahWah or a Flanger is. Does it? But in order to take over text from the manuals it would need a "written permission of Kemper GmbH".

This makes obvious sense, even tho in this specific case I don't think Kemper would suit us. They agreed on working on the site themselves...
But at the bottom of it (as we say in Italy) I guess you're right -
