Yup. Ralph is a monster player.
Bought an orbital sander and some files. Going to round out the edges on the front panel. Trying to decide on color. I think it'll start as a charcoal wash with a blue or green tint. Going to try and burst the edges as well.
I I am ordering a legit "nice" headshell from Rawcabs on eBay so this is to just get a feel for it. I have black chicken head knobs coming as well.
The ugly eagle has landed! The aftermarket headshell is built well enough but the poorly done white tole has to go. Ordered black chicken heads as well. Regardless, it's the tone that matters!
Going to rip the white tole off and try staining the headshell for now. Ordering a new one soon enough.
this thing is RED HOT:

I actually LOWERED the gain - only tweak I made. More to come...
Came in expecting Motley Crue...
Was pleasantly surprised!

Lol!

Sounds great man!
UPDATE:
Bad news....
The owner of the amp in question got an offer of $1100 for the Deliverance that he could not pass up so he sold it.
Good news...
I BOUGHT A DLIVERANCE! Scored it for $675 shipped.
Owner warned me it had a "home made" headshell. I was a little worried but it does;t look nearly as bad as I thought. So, we will STILL get more VHT/Fryette profiles AND I will not have to rush to get them done on a borrowed amp.
DOUBLE GOOD NEWS!
The guy that was going to lona me the amp in the OP just bought a VHT/Fryette CL50 so I will get two weeks with that guy.
Jeremy, you may would like to think about stopping profiling and retiring. you've achived perfection with the quickrod and may just want to be remebered as the legendary first-strike-bull's-eye profiler.
more seriously, I'd love to hear them
LOL!
Right? I am already feeling like lightning will not strike twice!
Thanks, maybe I should have worked with the delays a little more before buying the timeline. Pretty pricey at $450.
Delays were a wormhole I went down and the Timeline didn't last long. The Echolution2 Deluxe beat it out for me.
I have been plenty satisfied with the Kemper delays though. no need for external pedals for me.
Just grabbed these as well! Will give them a go tonight
Well I have been very vocal about asking for a comprehensive Deliverance set so the fact that this opportunity presented itself is very exciting for me!
Are there different versions of the ISP stealth, maybe it was from a NAMM video I saw.
They updated it a year or so ago and moved the volume from the back of the unit to the front. Same other than that.
One of my "other" grail amps. I owned 2 VHT/Fryette amps. One was a Deliverance 120 and the other a Sig: X. Both unfortunately had to be sold when my wife and I separated. Fortunately we reconciled. Unfortunately, I was never able to recover the amps.
Well, a friend is selling one of his Deliverance 60's and is loaning it to me for a few weeks before officially putting it up for sale.
Here it is:

I just got a few new mics so I am going to try and get as many profiles as possible. I just reorganized my home studio space so now I have a place to isolate my cabs! Woo hoo!
Will be using:
• Splawn 2x12 (Celestion Creamback 65's)
• Sennheiser e609
• Shure SM52
• NOS Panther Ribbon Mic
• Heil PR20
• Heil PR30B
More news to follow!
It depends if the multitracking is one-pass (ie one take reamped through different profiles) or multiple takes. If the latter, I think you are over-thinking it. The multiple takes will never be sample-accurate as far as timing goes, so there's bound to be some element of phasing, although it tends to make an appearance as that musically-pleasing slight chorusing effect that comes with doubling guitars rather than being anything particularly destructive frequency-wise, in my experience anyway. However, most sessions I've done where parts have been doubled or tripled, each take has had its own domain, frequency-wise. This helps to thicken up parts and make them harmonically richer snd sound bigger than life, and also helps to keep them from trampling all over each other's territory.
Yeah it would be 4 separate takes.
I am pretty fortunate that my playing is pretty accurate from take to take.
Thanks for the reply. Glad to know it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I suppose using profiles from one pack and tweaking them slightly would make it easier too but I just love certain amp combos like a Recto and Marshall boosted.
This just occurred to me for some reason. Since most profile makers are not sitting around working out how they are mic'ing cabs with each other (obviously), does it stand to reason if I were to use an Mbritt profile on one or 2 tracks and then a TAF profile on one or two others for layered rhythm guitars, wouldn't there be some inherent phase issues?
I ask mostly because I am looking for a good solution when profiling different amps at different times to make sure that when I AM multi tracking my rhythm guitars this is a non issue.
Am I overthinking this?
I know Tim Owens made a jig to measure how far over from the cone and how far back from the speaker his mic's are. I assume there can still end up being enough variance from session to session to still cause a potential issue though.
