I installed Virtual Box for Mac with Win 8, installed Rig Manager, setup Rig Exchange
and it works flawless.
Downloaded all 3815 Rigs from RE in about 10 Minutes, so this is a good solution for Mac
and the best its FREE and WORKS
Have fun

i think we might be able to run the application running Wineskin - it's a Windows library emulator , i used it to run a lot of application inside the Mac Os.
I've tried to install the Rig manager through Wineskin but it only works if the installation file is in exe and the one provided by the Kemper guys is the .msi . Would you mind sharing the whole folder of the installed Rigmanager ? i can try and see if i can open it through wineskin without installing it.
it would be easier for everybody to use it through wineskin while we wait for the mac version of the Rig Manager -
A few are using Parallels with good results

How is windows 8 free?
-
I tried to get it to run with Wine... So far with no success, but I'll try again today

How is windows 8 free?
Exactly!
I guess we will simply have to deal with the fact Kemper decided to focus on the Win platform.
I will continue my rig management as it was for now. -
How is windows 8 free?
when you use parallels you have to pay for running win on macs
that the win software itself is not free is clear i think
when using parallels and win you have to pay 2 pegs
when using virtual box you only have to pay for windows -
I was beeing sarcastic
Some people seem to easily say, just install it under parallels or virtualbox. But as you mentioned parallels is paying and so is windows7/8.
So its hardly free.We will assume that everyone payed for there OS
-
YEP!
And I'd rather shell out a few extra $/€ for a rig manager than an OS I neither want nor need (win 8.1) on my Macbook.
-
So..when is a mac version slated for?
-
+1 Mac Version Please.
-
Really need a Mac version here as well as I would assume so many others do.

I'm using RM on my iMac with Parallels Desktops and W7, but that's just an emergency solution. I don't want to buy and install any virtual box + Windows on my notebooks (Macbook Pro and Macbook Air) just to use RM.
Actually the only reason to use Windows again has been RM and if you've stayed away from Windows for a long time, you first have to get used again to this ugly bastard....

This site claims there are ways of getting Windows 8 for free:
http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Windows-8-for-FreeThe main ones are a preview, being a student, and being a developer which has a 90 day version.
Perhaps enough days until the Mac version is released.
If not, it works for an hours each time you fire it up. Enough time to use it with your Kemper. -
Yes, a MAC version would be great - I don't want to use RM via an emulator.
Still best IMHO would be the feature to be able to use rigs directly from an USB stick - without the need to import - this would work fine without the need for a PC, MAC or whatever.
-
A Mac version would be a lifesaver, especially since (at least here in the States) most studios use the Mac platform.

Here in Germany I don't know one single studio (I've worked in many studios) NOT using Macs... the same here.

Didn't say some of the Kemper guys state that RM 4 MAC is on top priority? As far as I remember 1-2 weaks ago?
-
Yes indeed.
