One of the best rock intros I have ever seen............

Not sure where to post this as none of the sub-forums seem suitable. Anyhow, we have a new, female singer so I need to learn Shania Twain's, I Feel Like A Woman. Had a quick peep on youtube for my homework and stumbled upon this live version and the intro just blew me away. Rock guitar heaven.

If it was my show, I'd be embarrassed - knowing the past. If this isn't a cunning and vicious remake / plagiarism of Pink Floyd's One of These Days - I have never seen one.

Sorry, but I don't really see the comparison, other than both shows being on the visual side of spectacular. Quite funny when Pink Floyd slip into 2 bars of the Dr. Who theme though. Plagiarism or homage, lol

overall I would suggest to this lady to quit to have this intro because the impact difference is so huge. after hearing the intro I could feel a drastic loss in music tension when the first song started. that's my opinion, of course

Yep. I'd have to agree that the song definitely slipped several notches when Shania turned up. Although the visuals went up by several more notches to compensate

nop, the slide comes from the solo ( from right, like the solo) 1.43, i see keybord, the others guitarists (les paul) don't make slide.

But this entrance is top ! ! ! !

Agreed, but for the purposes of a finale, which I suspect it is and not the first song, it's a release of sorts for the audience.

Really dig this kind of stuff. Great guitarplaying and great tone. But once the real song starts it's over for me musically.
