Awesome, I love the way you retain the same heavy riffage and huge sound but with these cleaner tones.

I agree with Per here. Some player can just play one level of gain but this is excellent.

This is so much everything I just don't know how to come up with and play. Stupendous!
I wish I could visit you and take a few lessons.

Thanks Per i was going for a low gain tone, the deeper the notes get the less gain you here 😂
Thanks BayouTexan I simply record a separate Left and right rhythm guitar and fully pan them left and right, a bass track which is pretty much centre in line with the bass drum panning and drums. I've gotten to the point where i have my levels pretty much set so i can get recording without too much hassle. The only plug-in i use is Toontracks EZmix which i use specifically for mastering, i use the "Master1" option which comes with EZmix. The rest is jsut pure luck on my part 😂 I don't use any additional processing on any of my guitar tones, what comes out the Kemper if what you hear on the track recorded straight into my DAW.
Thanks for this info.
I will try this and see if it makes my stuff sound any better.

My new fav.
Thanks BayouTexan
Your feeling for the sounds to use is awesome Joe! Great sounding mix overall. Very cool. When I played that profile it had way not enough "grit" for me (liked the OD3 one a bit). In your mix it sounds just about right at all times
Thanks deadman42 The Ibanez PGM is a very, very bridge guitar coupled with the PAF pro pickups, i think gives this particular profile a touch more sensitivity so makes it sounds a bit more gritty. The mix was just luck again lol
Thanks deangersmith

Thanks Per This profile was particularly good for that as i didn't adjust the guitar volume at all i just played lighter on the verse sections.

Mats_Nermark Honestly, everything i write is just pure luck. Your music is every bit as stupendous. Posting in the forum and getting comments on mixing and profiles and hearing everyone elses music inspires me.

Mats_Nermark Your music and mixes sound every bit as good as, if not better that mine. Everyone has their own way of doing things. I just like the thump you get with a tune that has 2 guitars panned full left and right, bass in the middle and a nice rock drum sound. This is just how i do it and luckily enough it seems to work for me.

I am, at this time, writing a tune where I have used this recipe of yours. I doubt it will sound as powerful as your work, but I am having fun with it and that's the most important thing.

New tune, The gathering storm
I wrote this tonight using the free Soldano profile from Tonejunkie along with some synth pads courtesy of Spitfire Audio's free Labs plug in. The clean guitar is the STL tones atmospheric Kemper profile.

Great atmosphere from both the guitar and those spitfire sounds and awesome solo at the end!

Diggin those Zakk Wylde clams!

Thanks Per The STL profiles really blended well with the Labs pads, it was better than i'd hoped. The solo was fun to jam over, it's a bit frantic in places lol.

BayouTexan Thanks, i used my Ibanez RG652, it's a fixed bridge guitar with a Koa top and for some reason it's just really great for doing those split harmonics on the bass string
