Maybe you could profile some pedals with this battery?...
-
Way cool man! Will it work for lower Tunings as well?
To Bad, the Toaster Runs on AC! -
OMG...hilarious. However, Danelectro wins the prize for most innovative marketing of batteries:

Paging Eric Johnson to the White Courtesy Phone......

The truth is non alkaline batteries do sound better is some germanium fuzz pedals (Fuzz Face ect).
The way the circuit is designed the battery it tied to the input.
Non alkaline or heavy duty batteries have a different capacitive and resistance value than the alkaline type. That said there are only a few pedals where it makes a difference...

What happened to Eric Johnson signature 9v slightly relic battery?

That's actually exactly the case with the dano batteries. They are the old zinc batteries. -

I think they were all spirited away by the vintage "logo on the top of the pedal" Cry Baby Collector Club Cult.

The fuck ._.

Yes, 3 profiles with exactly the same settings but different batteries
-
Wow. I didn't even know stuff like this existed. Batteries manufactured by guitar equipment companies? The mind boggles.

The truth might be, they're coming all from the same "far eastern" outlet, that makes the rabbit go. Once the battery is done every 10th battery goes to the d..electro assembly line to get the 50ties vintage look printing and the appropiate shrink wrap.

I wonder if these batteries will work in any pedal regardless the carpet below. Or is it for wood-floor only???

What about a diesel-based power-source from WWII for my floor-board?

Any decent stage has a more or less decent oriental carpet from IK.A or Aunt Brigdet. The static electric interaction between battery and ancient wool is key!
What about a diesel-based power-source from WWII for my floor-board?
Even a WWII diesel powered generator will supply to much steady power. I believe the specific dwindling effect of a specially manufactured relic battery is the other key to success!

Anyone that wants a relic'd battery, contact me. They're going cheap

The internal resistance of a crappy battery causes a voltage sag under load. This creates a stronger attack with slight sag on sustain.....or other nonlinear issues depending on the effect.
A "stiff" supply has no (or minimal) sag within its rated current output range. Running a fairly low ohm resistor in series with the output simulates the same condition as a crappy battery if anyone wants to experiment.

the best part about it are the reviews:
"Not only does this battery give me a full, lush sound but I am now playing faster and with greater accuracy. I detect a very slight background echo but this might be because I am playing faster than my brain can process the sound. That is why I am only giving it 4.5 stars."
