firmware 2.3 with various FX and features. am I missing something here?

hello all. I just went to KPA homepage and in the news there is the announcement of the 2.3. maybe you guys already have it and I have been missing various update? I'm still at 2.1: it's stable and since I'm recording, don't want to change it.

for 2.3 there is a list of things that are impressing. this is something interesting:

Beat Scanner - Sync to your pulse
Beat Scanner will listen to the rhythm of the guitar and detect the precise tempo in no time. Just play a simply riff you like and Beat Scanner will follow.

Interesting to note the jump from 2.1 to 2.3. Hopefully some fixes in addition to the new goodies.

Hm? The current kaos version is 2.2.1, just the OP hasn't updated yet (for good reason, in the middle of production).

This is easily one of the best new features. I love that. Now I can just work out my tempo-map by simply just PLAYING the riffs, instead of trying to figure out where the best tempo is. Such a great feature!

Does anyone know how the "Beat Scanner" will work with midi? I understand that you need to hold down a footswitch (and held it there) to activate this feature? What will the midi commands be for the push and release signal?

hi Harry..........we will have to wait for it, don't we?

there will be a CC command for sure with whom we will be able to do it. some like: hold the switch/command, play, and that's it: delay in time with your playing. just guessing

CC30, send 1 for push and 0 for release. With 2.3 an updated MIDI documentation will be released.
