Hi,
As the FW 2.40 has just been elevated from Beta to official release, could Kemper team tell us if the "bass bug" has been corrected ? It is not written in the official release comments
Thanks

Also would like to know.
I haven't A/B tested the BETA vs the new release, but I still have the feeling of the extra bass is still there ?

I made binary compare on fw files (2.4.0 Beta vs. 2.4.0 Release). It looks like there are more changes present than simple version number change.
This could mean that code was changed too and bugs were fixed. But this should definitely be mentioned in changelog.
And I also think, that if there was confirmed bug in version 2.4.0 Beta, it should not be silently elevated to Release version. I would expect to release it as 2.4.1 just to make things clear.

Yes please Kemper team tell us

Burkhard hinted at no changes from beta to official which means the bug would still be present.
I'm confused.
Clarification, please.
So I better continue to profile with 2.33?
Strange notes ...
They seem to be identical. So I rather just keep my 2.3 at the moment.
+1 yes please, I think this important information
Or maybe CK was just bluffing about the bug, just to test our perception.
Still no reply from Kemper? Burkhard?
I agree. Info on if the low frequency bug has been fixed in 2.4 release version is needed before I will upgrade from 2.3.3. Very surprised this wasnt mentioned in the posting by Kemper employee, since it received so much attention and discussion here.
Of course the folks who noticed the bug and brought it to Kempers attention could check out the release to see if it has been fixed, but Kemper should be communicating this directly to its customers.
Kemper - "We have elevated firmware 2.4.0 from public beta to release level. Functionally both versions are identical."
Does this mean the "bass bug" hasnt or has been fixed, Kemper folks? Your customers are very confused by this vague statement.
It is possible that the extra bass was suppose to be there and that the bug was present in 2.3 and fixed in 2.4.

Well, here is the statment posted by CK regarding this issue...
"Our support has received comparison clips - from the OP, I guess.
And yes, there is a noticable sound difference, that guided us to a flaw in the latest firmware.
The bass responce of several profiles is too loud. I was able to find the cause and fix it.
Thanks for this hint. We will release a new firmware soon."
Does this answer your question?
It would have if the new firmware release does in fact have a fix. If not, then no.
I guess you dont understand his post. CK said...

You asked...

Its clear to me that his statement says there was flaw in 2.4 beta, which negates your theorizing that the bug was in 2.3.
