1"10 for 1247 rigs.
Yes 1247 rigs, you can. Go into the system tab and import the system rigs.
So all in all i think it is faster than the Axe II now.

173 profiles
Complete boot time: 42 seconds.
Boot time until sound comes through ("generic" default profile?): 14 seconds. That should be acceptable
-
OK, cleaned up cabs (only tills added), stomps, presets etc... And added the factory rigs apart from the 173 favourites.
Boot time is now 49 seconds.
-
20 seconds with 8 profiles only. ( Just retimed it with a stopwatch).
-
37 seconds with 68 profiles.
Before was 40 seconds.
Not a big decrease.
I guess the fewer profiles the less the decrease. -
From what I'm reading here, there are boot times as low as 20 and a ceiling of about 1:10
The thing is, you may have, say, 68 profiles, but 500 cabs! So check to see that you don't have more cabs than profiles or the profile count doesn't really tell you how much you have loaded!
I loaded a bunch of cabs once and apparently they didn't delete when I pared back to 128 profiles.
Does anyone know how to independently delete just a CAB? I haven't tried yet.
-
I know, but I have only a few cabs and about 30 performances.
Just reporting my observations -
I was trying to figure out why with only 170 profiles my load times were identical to Armin's who had over 700 profiles.
I finally found I had 540 cabs! So that's all I meant.
I had initially tried to purge from 650 cabs to 128 and saw almost no change in startup time a month ago and was bummed. Now I know why!
If only I could delete all the extra cabs! I think I have a backup of 1 profile only, so I could save my current set of profiles, but that would't save the MIDI info.
So If there is a way to delete cabs only, I'll probably have to do it one-by-one. yuck.
-
Will deleting those cabs affect your rigs stack effects (which is made up of amps & cabs) ? Or do standard profile files include the amps & cabs. Im not clear on this relationship.

No, it won't affect existing rigs (amp + cab).
This is only about deleting locally stored cabs. -
I tried using the RM to load some cabs only and got an error message says only rigs can be loaded by RM.
-
132 rigs, a bunch of cabs, 38 seconds here. I didn't get a measurement from the previous firmware, but it was at least 50s from what I can recall. Can't complain about that.
Edit: A more important measurement - it starts up faster than I can go refill my glass of whiskey, which is really all anyone could ask for.
-
1348 rigs, very few or no Cabs/Presets/Tonestacks/Whatever
2.3.3: 1'28"
2.4.2: 1'13".
Interestingly enough, update time has been the longest till now. The routine has checked all the cabs, the rigs, the presets, the amps one by one. Does anyone know what for?

No Rigs on my studio profiler 2.4.2 boot time 35 seconds

No Rigs on my studio profiler 2.4.2 boot time 35 seconds
Ha, good to know this is some kind of a 'basic boot time'.
I have 36 secs with 87 rigs. -

There are instructions from Kemper on how to remove a large number of rigs by editing a backup file. The same approach can be used to remove all those cabs.

I have 36 secs with 87 rigs.wonder if subtracting 36 from total boot time and dividing by rigs/cabs/preset/amps as a whole returns a consistent value. Have no time for this now, but will do some maths in the next days

2.4.2 beta syved me something like 10 seconds. Still checking out all the presets....
