Welcome
I have been gigging my kemper for over a year now and play Rockabilly,Blues,Country
you'll love it -although.....a delay in front of the amp would be nice
Interesting point, which kind of goes to the heart of the choice between the 2, at least for me. With the Axe you can put anything and everything wherever you want but good luck making a small change in parameters in the middle of a song at a gig. If I had the funds I'd no doubt have both. If I ran a studio I'd want 2 of each. For gigging around a city and carrying gear on subways and busses, the size/weight is a major issue. When you put the Axe in a 2-rack carrying bag it's very heavy. The Kemper is a real pleasure in that regard. The sounds of both units are great, beyond great. So far, I prefer the Kemper for clean and slightly dirty sounds which to me is all I use. I do like the effects better on the Axe, but I'm a limited effects user anyway. Time will tell how I get along with it etc etc but the check marks for portability, cleaner tones, and the amp-like layout are all major benefits for me and how I use gear. Loving it so far.
