Yummy, @philip78.

Why choose, why not both at the same time!
Yeah I love my Pgm's and of course I do use the mesa and yamaha at the same time too
PGM's you say?
@skoczy Mines a PGM 300, approx 28 years old now! used to be white, but now has a nice "nicoteen" yellow vintage patina! Almost a classic!
Mine is from 2008, but while color also became more vintage
Not much different than the rest. Here you go...
How do you like the Mesa 2x12 with the Kemper? I've been thinking about buying the same cabinet. I assume you're using it with the Cab sim turned off?
I like it. I've never been a fan of the V30 sound but I can't seem to stay away from cabinets using them. I run my main output to the mixer and use the monitor out to my power section/cab. Cabinet simulations are turned off for the monitor output. One (of the many) things I love about the Kemper is the ability to apply EQ to each output separately. I get my rig sounding how I like at my house by using the amp section EQ going direct. Then I tweak my monitor output EQ to closely match what I'm wanting to hear on stage in comparison to the FOH. Works well for what I need.
Another thing I do is to set the master volume control to link with the monitor output. This way I can bump my on stage volume at the cabinet/power amp without affecting what I've set at the board.

The way to go imho. You simply don´t need to adjust the Main volume after Soundcheck. Monitor out is accessible on the fly. Works great this way.

I didn't realize you could apply EQ separately. Thanks for that! I hooked my Kemper up to a 2x12 (Mission Engineering KM-212P) last night and absolutely love it. It sounds great through studio monitors or an FRFR speaker, but the cabinet just seems to add something that was missing.
Hi everyone, I'm brand new here. Got my Kemper last night, looking forward to putting it through its paces this upcoming week. Here's where its sitting in my studio:
Gig rig at the Stiefel Theater, Salina, KS on 02-11-17. First time I've used the Kemper live. Great results! The sound guy mic'd the cab and took the main out signal to FOH, and mixed them together. He seemed pleased...
@chopsfromhell nice guitar too - I´ve got a PRS408, I think PRS guitars are great and vastly UNDER-rated... Have fun with the Kemper my friend!
Jim.
Thanks, Freisegler! I picked that guitar up for under $350 from Sweetwater here in the states. Crazy cheap for the quality!
Here's another pic someone took from the balcony later in the evening. Great venue!
Awesome-looking gig, Chris! Nice rig too man.
@Electric Blue Studios, that rack's ridiculous, man. Wow!
so this is our new 16HE Rack with two kempers. The bass is in this liddle 2he case with a darkglass b7k. The RME Interface, my KHDK Overdrive and a Line 6 Wireless sits in the back of the rack. i will post the back of the rack later. the kempers are controlled by midis via a laptop.
If anybody can give me a link/answer how to midi change with an interace and a pedalboard like the FCB1010. i like to tune my guitar between Songs but with the presets switching via Interface. thanks dudes.
This is my "touring" rig. A lot of places we play here in Indiana don't supply a house PA. I've got my KPA mounted in my gig rack with my Mackie DL1608 and my Sennheiser IEM system. Everything stays prewired, and there's a drop snake tucked away in the back. Also inside the back, I've mounted my Apple Airport, for wireless mixing. It's a very simple plug and play operation. My Kemper remote is attatched to a 20" Pedaltrain Metro, basically because I wanted a case for it.
That's awesome, Waylon.
