At this point, besides speculation, I'm more interested in what the early bird stuff was all about, besides getting priority on the kfc when it hits the market. Some info on that?

Im curious too... If there is a discount for the early bird pre-orders i may buy one instantly. If not, i have to wait
499,- is quite heavy compared to the price of the KPA itself in my eyes.

Build quality and integration will be excellent, not to question that.

It's pricey. Not a great time for my country's dollar to be lousy. It will be about $700 after conversions. Yikes!

However, it will be a worthwhile piece to have.

My guess on the leds:

• The 1-5 buttons select slots within a performance. They each seem to have two white leds above them. I would assume that one of those leds indicates whether the slot is empty or enabled, and the other if it is currently in use.
  

  
  

  For instance, if you have a performance where only the first three slots are enabled, and you are currently using slot one, the leds on (say) the bottom row will be on for button I, II and III, and the led on the top row will be on for button I.

• The I-IIII buttons switch effects on and off. They each have four leds: two colored and two white. The colored leds indicate to which effects that button is assigned (using the same color code as on the Kemper itself), while the white leds indicate the current on/off state for each of those two effects (you can assign more but only two will be represented by these leds). This is how I remember Mr. Kemper explaining it.
  

  
  

  For instance, if button II is assigned to a distortion stomp and a compression stomp, one of the colored leds will be red and the other turquoise; the white leds will tell you whether both effects are currently on (so that pressing the button will turn them off), or even if one is on and the other off (so that pressing the button will cross-switch them).

I don't think there are led rings. Those rings do indeed seem to be printed on.

Looks nice! many a bit pricy, but i want one anyway!! I have two questions. It says it can control external gear! can i switch preset on my G-FORCE too if i connect with a midi cable? I use 2-3 different rely and reverb from my G-force witch i find better than Kemper dely.
second question. Where do the bank number show on the display? kind of small image and difficult to see.

I think i am going to order one

So that's about $600 USD … a little steep but I figured it'd be right in line the the "other guys" foot controller.

I'm surprised, Ingolf. You NEVER messed up your LEDs in concert?

Since I was just looking up other looper times and all, the FX has a different time for the Stereo vs Mono times.

Does the KPA make such distinction?

It makes sense to me that you can program a MONO to be double the length in time.

It's still working well for me and much easier to carry around than the full size one.
At some point, I may mod it to use a single cable for MIDI and power.
Just be careful with that cut…;-)
