Is it a bad idea to put a KPA lunchbox on top of a speaker cab during a performance?
Is it too delicate ? Is it designed to handle the vibration live sound levels produce??

Before I had my rack version for live I used to put my toaster on the top of the bands PA (well the bass Bin anyway) I did this for a year and all was well. If you are worried about it vibrating off, go to your local pound shop and buy some rubber sheets that are for stopping rigs slipping on wooden floor.. This is great stuff, we use it to stop our DXR10's vibrating off our bass bins and they don't move an inch
Well I wasn't worried about it vibrating off but now that you mention it!
I was more concerned about the internal stuff.. Like some tube amps are built like tanks...I don't know how delicate these are and I don't want to find out
Ill be honest it doesn't fill me with confidence ...looks/ feels fragile

Well i just remembered about a months ago my bass player who also uses a Kemper toaster live and rests it on our PA pulled it off amd it hit the stage. These are built really well because his is still working fine and no dents or scratches on it either. so I think it's built very well.
Just add a Ambrosi amp in the back and the extra weigh will secure your toaster very well!
Seriously I use it since a week direct on my cab at high volume with no problems.
I use the Thomann case for Kemper and the bottom part serves as a socket for the Kemper, that keeps it from moving and uses foam to catch off vibrations. PLUS it doesn't look so tiny anymore on the 4x12 cab
Im waiting for a USA manufacturer or supplier of amps for Kemper toaster!!
Don't be fooled by the light weigh of the Kemper, it can seem to be delicate because of that but it is very well built, I dropped mine a couple of times ( ) and all was still in perfect cosmetic and working condition!
Amazing german built quality!
Velcro is really really cheap
Mine rattled and it scared me so I put it NOT on top.
That said, I've read for many years people gigging this way and heard of ZERO complaints or problems.
So my conclusion is: Have At It!!
Safer to put a Kemper on top of a vibrating cab than a tube amp.
I don't know about that last comment. Tube amps ..(especially something like Ampeg SVT ) have been rattling away happily on top of cabinets for generation !
I will say that the weight of the KPA is throwing me off. You know the old misbelief that HEAVY = GOOD/STURDY

Have always used mine on top of the cab ( for 3+ years ) and have never had a problem ....apart from my iphone smashing off the ground from the vibration

What I meant was that vibration + tubes = bad (in terms of lowering tube life) so not too sure about the rattling away happily bit.
