While a playing pause I want unplug the guitar cable from the guitar. The built-in battery should not be discharged meanwhile.
The KPA I do not want to switch off, since the start-up takes a long time and I've read somewhere here that a start-up may arise problem.
To avoid noise in the PA, I switch to tuner mode.
Is this procedure harmful to the KPA input.
Any other proposals?
Unplugging the guitar cable.

I don´t see why it could be harmful tho the KPA´s input. I do the same when having breaks at rehersals for example. Or after the sound-check prior to a gig. Tuner mode and that´s it.

Well I actually don´t unplug the guitar cable... You saying KPA´s built-in battery discharges only when guitar´s plugged in?
-
You can also get a switching cable. When unplugged, it simply grounds your signal, like turning the guitar volume to zero.

I assume Harry refers to the battery inside his guitar? An active one maybe?

Do you have a link? - I do not know this.
For fully understanding. I will remove the cable from the guitar.
I have an additional piezzo pick up in the guitar with a limited capacity of the batterie in the guitar.
The plug in the guitar has a switch if the cable is removed -
There are two kinds, automatic switching and manual. You can also add a switching end to any cable.

he has probably active pickups on his guitar.
anyways, from the guitar to the KPA the voltages are low. this is just signal, no power. I hardly see how the KPA could get damaged from this -

Thank you.
This seems a good solution.

Heya Harry
Not sure if this is what you are looking for...

This is a switching, or shorting guitar cable. When you click the switch there is no signal between any guitar / kpa etc.
ppl use these to change instruments without having to change any volume to avoid noise.I have used them on tube amps with no issues, and pretty sure with the kpa... but cant test it atm for some reason that cable has vanished,
there are 2 kinds of these cables, the link i put up is for a straight cable since there is a fender in your avatar.
they also come in 90 degree angles, which are more comfortable for playing lesters whel siting on a couch etc...
they are a bit expensive, but solid and heavy cable, jacks even more sturdy, stores here give a lifetime warranty... the
only problem i found is the angled one is a bit heavy, and tends to fall out of the jack of my custom black beauty and it's not
the jack since it has no issues with other cables... an annoyance on a sofa, worse if you play live lol...i dont know if others are like this,
but if you get either, make sure you test them out first.also, if anyone is interested, it can also work as a makeshift kill switch if you toggle it a certain way, but if you use those you would not be too
impressed with this.lol right on.. happy new plug day

reverb.com/item/1273765-planet…M3D64SxxcoCFQaJaQodnJ0AGwYes It would be exactly what I like. Even I need not to solder
I also need two . One straight for Strat one angle for acoustic guitar.
I found a staight one by Thomann http://www.thomann.de/gb/plane…g15_instrumentenkabel.htmThanks for help - Harry

If your concern is the guitar battery discharging while the cable is inserted, this solution may not disconnect the battery as desired depending on the guitar and type of jack used. I have a Music Man with a piezo and mine does not disconnect the battery without the cable being physically pulled out of the guitar.
-
The idea is that the cable automatically shorts out when unplugged. In between sets, Sharry can unplug his guitar and toss the cable aside without any noise or battery drain in the guitar.
