Fender Hot Rod DeVille ML (Mike Landau)

Maybe not a terribly exciting amp all by itself, because it's pure clean. But if you have pedals you like, this amp was built to be a platform for them. I was messing around with a Wampler Plexi Drive Deluxe yesterday with some commercially available clean profiles and they made it sound like garbage. Plugged into my DeVille ML and it sounded fantastic. So I profiled the amp and lo and behold, the pedal sounds great into the profile. All of my drive pedals do. Maybe yours will too, so give it a shot.

Excellent profiles! I am so glad that I have found them.

And the clean profile is a perfect pedal platform! I am always searching for good pedal platform rigs. But there are not many. The only other killer profile that works perfect with external pedals is a Hot Rod Deville as well (also on Rig Exchange from Dave Chamberlin).

The clean one is the best Pedal-Platform-Profile so far - just a tubescreamer and this: Guitar Heaven!
And the two with Wampler Plexi Drive and Carl Martin Plexitone baked in are killer too.
Also look at the Dave Chamberlin "DC-Blues Deville Cln" rig. It is the normal Deville, but with Vintage 30 - different flavour but also really great for pedals.
