Welcome! The gretch looks looks very good!

I haven't read the profiling manual yet but the one thing that is strange to me is there are many profiles for one amp (such as different levels of gain), my initial impression was you profile an amp once and there you have it, just like your sitting in front of it tweaking it. Maybe the multiple profiles are for different mics, rooms etc.
Yep. Different mics, mic positions, numbers of mics and blends thereof, cabinets, speakers, mic preamps, compressors and so on. Every signal chain is different in some way or another.Hey Monkey_Man is your handle for the Stones song?
Ha! No, unfortunately. It was just something I thought up when forced to pick a name for the first forum I joined in 2004 or thereabouts, so I've stuck with it for consistency.Sorry to disappoint, Jen; the Stones are way cool, after all.

So I know this device has been out 5 years or so and many of you veterans are used to hearing this, but after my 1st week with Kemper I'm Blown Away!!
However I think I'm having a compulsion to turn too many knobs and add too many effects from my days with the Pod HD.
I can literally pick out a quality Rig, plug in, and crank it up and it sounds like it comes from the heavens. This is how it's supposed to be, the early rock artists had good amps and just plugged in and cranked it up to 11 and played!!
So lot's more to learn and do but I thought I'd give you guys an update

Awesome, Jen. Thank you for sharing that.
That's the thing with this thing - it's the thing!

This is very precisely what makes the Kemper so different compared to other digital amps!

I cannot agree more , take whatever profile you like in a given gain range, tweak for 30 seconds and Bam you've got your tone, and even your personal signature tone, just like the real stuff.

Yup, it just sounds so real. When I first got mine I plugged my gtr & headphones in & played the first rig that came up - 1962 Electro (a clean Fender-type sound) - and I felt like I was actually sitting in front of my Fender Twin Reverb set a low volume. I was stunned by how realistic it sounded.
And after using several rigs while jamming with my band I was amazed by how "big" it sounded & how well it cut through the mix. I used 2 Yamaha DXR10 powered speakers when playing with my band & got a really big stereo sound.

Welcome and enjoy!
