never heard of such a profile, sorry - only the dobro and banjo sounds on rig exchange.
Maybe somebody has a Roland VG-99 they can profile - I think that unit might be able to do it?
Actually..I remember that I once tried the Line6 Vetta/Sitar-preset) with a variax..and this was one o the most convincing Sitar-emulation I ever heard till today..

The JTV 69 Variax Guitar has a Sitar Model.

No offense Don, just not really convincing as a sitar... it's a hard sound to emulate. I have the real thing, so I know. Haven't tried to recreate it on the KPA, maybe one of these lazy Sunday's I'll give it a go, though I don't hold out much hope I'd do better than yourself. You've done some great stuff I still use to this day (U2 sounds, for example).
On another note - on your twitter link - besides Alex Skolnick and CK, who's that sitting around the table in the 5th pic in front of the van??

I also got the real thing. And Don's rig is way better than I expected. In deed absolutely usable in a pop song! Excellent job, Don.
On a regular fretboard one runs into problems quickly. On a Sitar the strings are never touching the board. Those scalloped fretboards might help a bit, though.

My humblest apologies Don! I went back and listened to your demo wavefile, and it really was quite excellent. I was quite stunned because this sounded nothing like my initial trial, which was only done playing around with the profile. Obviously I didn't have the best combo of micro pitch switches selected, because now I've got your effect sounding pretty much like your demo, and it IS good! So please accept my apologies.
For me the best combo is all 4 pre-stack stomps on, the post-stack micro pitch FXs off. How was it intended to be best used (or which are "on" in your demo and playing)?
