Hello all,
Another Canajun joins the ever going ranks of Kemper users!
I picked up a new kemper about a week and a half ago after waiting 2 years for a decently priced used one to come up for sale locally.
I tired of waiting and I guess the lack of them on the used market at a good price speaks to the satisfaction that many Kemper users have for the unit.
An ampeg VT-40 was my tube amp of choice for many years. As a "clean machine" I bought a Mesa Boogie V-Twin pedal to round my sounds out and give me a few more "channels" and choices. I discovered that it had a great clean sound direct as well. I think this made me aware that there could be "life without microphones".
I jumped on the modelling bandwagon with the first POD and had most of the later versions of Line 6's equipment over the years as well as various pedals meant simulate different amps and contrary to the opinions of many I felt I got some pretty good sounds out of them with sufficient tweaking.
Now I have a Kemper and the journey is taken to another level.
I think it was, one your members, Mark Dannells' youtube video that convinced me that sounds of the variety that I am looking for were available to be had from the Kemper:
I have to say that I am experiencing some growing pains in adjusting to the learning curve and am not getting sounds on this level yet! I hope to learn from the the extensive experience available from the members here!
Thanks in advance for any assistance you might throw my way!
